My life been very crazy for being a young mom with 2 kids. I have DCFS involved which I like to prove that I am a good mom and will reach my dream to become better for my kid’s future. I will be first generation in my family to attend and receive a college degree that will give me the option to pay all that my parents have done for me because without them I don’t know what I would do. Thank you for your consideration I hope I can hear more back from you sir/mam because this opportunity wont not only affect me, my family, but others as well. Sincerely Xitlaly

Pranathi K  on 9/4/2018 10:53:50 AM

To whom ever this may concern, My name is Pranathi K and I am a sophomore at Somerville High School. I could use this money to save for college applications or even for my tuition. My dream is to be helping the ones who can't be helped. All my life I've had interest in medicine however, I'm deeply concerned about how I'm going to pay for getting the education I need. For about six years my father has been unemployed due to immigration laws resulting in my mother working twice as hard to feed an entire family. I'm lucky enough to have my aunt and uncle who have helped my parents through these rough times but I know that they aren't going to be there all the time. Having to experience a life where I have to think twice before wanting to buy something is painful. I am passionate about college and working hard to have the kind of life that worked to give me. I am hoping to get this grant to not only fulfill my dreams but also my parents'. Thank you for this opportunity.

Marilyn Sandoval  on 7/23/2018 11:41:46 PM

Hi my name is Marilyn Sandoval I’m 19 years old and a first generation college student attending California Lutheran university in Thousand Oaks California. I currently work full time to pay for college and am paying everything on my own. I am the daughter of two immigrant parents and I’m trying to make a difference in my community by studying medicine. You’ll never meet anyone who gets more excited over a needle or a bandage than myself. I could really use this money especially to fix the air conditioning in my car that doesn’t work and having a commute in 100 degree weather is not fun. I’m tired of feeling like I’m in an oven. Please help Sincerely, Marilyn Sandoval

Tatum Spruce  on 7/19/2018 6:36:15 PM

My name is Tatum Spruce I just finished my first year at Grand Canyon University. I love the school and I really would like to continue with my degree there. I had a rough first year I worked to much and did not do well on my finals, I had all A;s & B's until my finals which brought my GPA way down. With my GPA falling below a 3.0 I was not able to continue with the in house scholarships offered. I am ready to put it into high gear and work very hard to bring up my GPA and continue in the IT cyber security program. I am going to work part time to allow more time for my studies, so this money would really help to offset my expenses. I would like to eventually move on to get a masters in Cyber Security. Thank you for your consideration.

Brooke Buchanan  on 7/17/2018 1:45:30 PM

To whom it may concern, My name is Brooke Buchanan and I was just accepted to Liberty University as an online transfer student. I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Communications. I am an NC native pursuing this degree online while currently working for Wells Fargo on the retail banking side. I would love to be considered for this scholarship as I am the sole financial provider for my education and the need is great. I was raised by a single mother and will be the first in my family to graduate with a bachelor’s degree. I am twenty two years old and financially independent. I have big dreams and ask that you read a little bit of my story when considering me for this scholarship. I spent some time away from school after my Associate's Degree, traveling with my church doing some missionary work in Uganda and Nicaragua. I saw not only the drive that locals have for their people/country; but also a disconnect between the plentiful resources and opportunity for small businesses to thrive. My dream is to start a non-profit that helps locals start their businesses from the ground up and help existing businesses grow. Thus promoting revenue that provides for families that will in turn boost the local economy. Each country has something unique to bring to the table that could help them provide for their families and overall spark change on a global level. I have big plans and need your help to get there. I am excited to be going back to school August 2018 and will utilize my degree to help promote small business, International Relations, and Make a real impact in these communities. Help make my passion a reality. Please take advantage of this opportunity to make a real impact! Thank you for your time, Brooke Buchanan

I just graduated from doing an online curriculum through A Beka Academy, and I am going to Oregon Coast Community College in the fall. After I have finished my prerequisites, I plan on applying and hopefully entering into their nursing program. Even though a community college isn't as expensive as a university, there is still tuition, fees, and books. I applied because every little bit helps. Thank you for the opportunity, and I hope to hear from you soon! Shannon

Savannah Clark  on 6/20/2018 1:52:35 PM

Hello. I just graduated from South Caldwell High school. I have been accepted to Appalachian State University. Like most I am seeking any scholarship that would be given for financial help. As I see all struggles that parents have it would be an honor to be able to help them. It would be a blessing and a much stress free education experience. Thank you for an opportunity.

Katie J  on 6/18/2018 12:14:33 PM

My name is Katie Judge and I’m a 12th grader currently enrolled at Southington High School in Southington, Connecticut. I am an active member of the FFA, currently serving as our chapter’s student advisor. I try my best daily, balancing school and work to pay for auto insurance. My goal of attending Eckerd College has been the one thing that kept me going through difficult times. I knew that if I didn’t give up and kept persevering, that I would wind up on campus, living the life I had imagined for years. Since Freshman year, Eckerd College has been the compass that has helped guide me into the light of my visualized bright future. I have worked incredibly hard over the past 4 years and will continue working with the same passion and rigor that I have shown since grade school in order to obtain the best education possible. I am a student who needs hands-on experience, small class sizes, assistance from teachers when needed, and a personal connection with staff, all of which I feel that Eckerd can provide in ways that other colleges cannot. This is one of the reasons why I chose Eckerd, because it is where I can see myself truly fulfilling my potential. My heart is truly set on going to this incredible, life-changing college. I have already filled out all of the forms, gave my deposit, have secured roommates who have become like sisters to me, and am beyond excited to become a part of this college community. I was fortunate to be awarded both Presidential and Artistic Achievement Scholarships from Eckerd, however, my heart is incredibly heavy because we are struggling to fill the gap remaining to pay for my schooling. It would be an absolute dream come true to go to Eckerd, but as a low-income student, I simply don’t feel I can afford it. Currently, my father does not help to provide any financial help for our family. My single mother, who works as a property manager, is the only source of income for our family. The income my mother receives weekly just

Kaylee M  on 6/12/2018 6:31:55 PM

I just finished my third year in college at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts. I am working on a double major in Psychology and Human Development Human services, with a minor in Social Work. My goal in life is to work as a advocate for individuals with varying needs and continue my work in school systems assisting students with behavioral challenges. I have been working hard to maintain a steady GPA and I have made a point to support my community in many ways. I am hoping to receive a scholarship that would allow me to further direct my focus and energy on the deserving individuals that I get to work with. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Mercedes J.  on 6/4/2018 3:16:10 PM

I just successfully completed my first challenging year in college at S.U. I am a Biology major and hopefully one day to become a general surgeon. Tuition is very expensive and although my father tries very hard to care for me and my other siblings; it is challenging on a single parent. Hoping to gain a scholarship to offset cost is a major goal to help my parent reduce stress of tuition. I am maintaining an excellent GPA and hopefully this scholarship will assist me with reduced worry regarding cost and possibility of not being able to stay enrolled at my current school.

Brianna Pina  on 5/23/2018 11:58:06 AM

I just finished my first year of college at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. It is a private school so very pricey, but I have the privilege to continue my soccer career there as well as follow my path of becoming a physical therapist. My mom is a single mother and tries really hard to allow me to go to school and accomplish my goals but this scholarship would really help me and my mom out. Thank you for this opportunity.

Jaylian I.  on 4/17/2018 5:44:56 PM

My name is Jaylian, I am currently a Sophomore in college. I am planing to continue in the path of obtain a bachelors degree in Business Administration. I am transferring to Georgia Southern University located in Statesboro GA after this semester is over, meaning the cost of tuition is going to rise significantly. I have the privilege to have the HOPE Scholarship, but I still have a great amount to pay out of pocket. I am currently working to try and pay for my tuition and the cost of living for me. The costs of College is a great obstacle for any student trying to pursue a Bachelors or any other degree. This scholarship would relief a great amount of pressure and would give me a better chance to obtain a better future for me.

Andrea R.  on 4/17/2018 4:37:33 PM

Hi, my name is Andrea and I am a DACA recipient. After pondering for months on what college to attend, I have made my final decision. I will be attending Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. I plan to major in public health and enroll in the traditional nursing program after accomplishing two years of prerequisite classes. My ultimate plan is to become a licensed physician but nursing is my backup plan in case I wasn't meant to be a doctor. I have completed several AP and dual credit classes, remained in the top percentage of my class, and have hopes of gaining my EMT certification by the end of the summer. I have been very involved in my community and have held many leadership positions. These opportunities have allowed me to discover what I love learning and helping in. This scholarship would be more than enough help for me to pursue my future career. I have received no answer regarding financial aid- so that leaves me counting on scholarships.

Jordan P.  on 4/16/2018 3:03:39 PM

My name is Jordan and I am a high school senior. I have been accepted into The King's College in New York City and I will be attending this fall. My family and I recently made a move from Texas to Virginia. My dad transferred from his last job and, in the process, had to start over in his position. He is making significantly less than before- about 20,000 less. We are enduring a large hit and are doing all we can to recover and sacrifice. I am completing several dual enrollment courses and plan to take more during the summer. I am ready to learn, immerse myself, and commit in my secondary education. These scholarships will help me support my dreams with financial backing, and eventually achieve them.

Kayley S.  on 4/10/2018 9:25:32 AM

I am a high school senior. I have been accepted into The University of South Carolina for the fall. I am on the hunt for as many scholarships as possible because I see the struggles my parents face as they are still paying for my mom's student loans. She has a master's degree in education and as a teacher, her salary is not very much. Because of her loans, my parents were not able to save a college fund for me or my sister. I will be a computer science major at USC and I hope to come out of college owing as little as possible. I have worked hard to finish a year's worth of dual enrollment and AP courses so I can enter as a sophomore, therefore I should be able to graduate in 3 years (fewer loans). Fingers crossed I get this scholarship. I have applied for more than 250 scholarships ranging from a couple hundred dollars to 24,000 scholarships. There are a ton out there, lots I don't qualify for because of need or specific majors but I haven't stopped trying. I'm doing everything I can to lessen my financial burden.

John m.  on 4/8/2018 1:08:34 PM

I am a senior in high school and have been accepted into tarleton state university to study agribusiness. College is my next step to a succesful future and I plan on pursuing the field of ranch and farm realty. Hopefully thorugh my time in college I will gain the assets needed to puruse those dreams. I am looking forward to a further education and recieving this schoalrship would allow me to do so , it would help me get my foot in the door to a new beginning. I have participated in many extra cirruculars and held multiple leadership roles at my high school which has set me apart from the rest.

Marissa F  on 3/28/2018 2:44:43 PM

I am a senior in high school, and I have been accepted into the University of Nebraska-Lincoln this fall. I will be majoring in both Forensic Biology and Microbiology this fall to pursue obtaining two Bachelor degrees. From there, I plan to go to graduate school to either earn my Masters right away, or work towards earning my Doctorate. In high school, I have participated in extracurriculars such as Key Club, Cross Country, FBLA, and Garden Club. Throughout my high school career, I have been taking dual-enrollment and AP classes through the local community college and have completed enough college credits to enter in as a second semester sophomore. Attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln would be a dream come true, as I would be a third generation student. Unfortunately the University is out of state and my family is not able to afford the cost of out of state tuition. I did not receive anything from the FASFA with 4 other kids in my family, and, myself being the oldest, receiving this scholarship would help out tremendously with off-setting out of state tuition for my parents. Thank you so much for the opportunity to apply and possibly earn a very beneficial scholarship. I am beyond blessed to be able to enter.

Kunwar S.  on 3/18/2018 10:44:38 AM

I am currently a high school senior, and I have been accepted to my dream college- Purdue University! I wish to pursue a career in health sciences. I have always done volunteer services and extracurriculars such as Key Club, Student Council, Tennis, and Soccer at my high school. I apply for scholarships so I can get a boost to get one step closer to my dream job, to help others in need. Attending this college would mean that I would need to go out of state, and a scholarship would greatly help for some of the expenses, and I would appreciate it very much!

Hermilleth D  on 3/16/2018 9:24:54 PM

My name is Herm, I'm a high school year is almost over and the next step is college, I would love to attend Mount Saint Marry's University, where I recently got accepted, and continue my passion for helping those in need through nursing. However, I'm unable to attend this school of my dreams due to the great amount of money I have to pay, which I do not have even with all the loans that I could get. I would love to make a change in the world similar to how the nurse that took care of me gave me hope and happiness towards dire time. I would love to give back to those in need because I'm driven to make a difference and contribute all of my hard work when I become a nurse. Since FAFSA didn't give me anything any amount of scholarship would help me greatly. This school of my dreams is known for nursing and its great programs, resources, and more. I believe I could excel in this school and reach my goals with this school and this scholarship that you guys offer.

Thomas W  on 3/14/2018 12:54:01 PM

It's a really easy scholarship to apply for which made it even more inviting to go ahead and just submit the information. I applied for Wells Fargo's CollegeSTEPS Sweepstakes because it would help me in my pursuit of expanding my education in Digital Marketing.

Ethan P.  on 2/21/2018 8:31:01 AM

I am currently a high school senior who will attend Colorado Christian University this fall. I have always enjoyed school and have really excelled in math and sciences. I’ve made academics a priority in my life and will be graduating with a 4.0 and a 30 ACT. I’m very excited to start my college career and will be majoring in Business and Ministry Management. I have been involved in sports, volunteer work, missions trips, and work projects throughout my high school years. I see the importance and helping others and putting them first. I’m doing my best to apply for scholarships so I can provide financially for my college career. I would like to travel overseas and use my degree on the mission field when I graduate from college. To be able to go on the mission field you have to be debt-free so I will be working hard throughout college to get it paid off. Any scholarships are so helpful and greatly appreciated.

Arsheen H  on 2/15/2018 5:15:57 PM

As the first person to go to college from my family, being a senior in high school has embarked me with tons of different decisions that will determine the rest of my future not only for me but for my parents and sibling as well. I hope to attend Georgia State University in the fall as a Biology major and work my way up to my Ph.D so I can become a college professor in Biology and Anatomy. With so many years of school ahead of me, I hope to receive the honor of being selected for this scholarship so that I can attend the grad school of my choice (Mercer University) that will provide me with the best education, without having to be short of money after all any little bit helps in these situations.

La'Shiya S  on 2/5/2018 5:59:42 PM

I am currently a high school senior, wanting to attend UNC-Pembroke. I would love to major in Nursing. I just love helping others, it really warms my heart up. Lindsey M  on 2/29/2016 9:36:19 PM

My name is Lindsey and I will be attending the University of Alabama fall of 2016 as a freshman. It has been a life long dream of mine and now that the time is near I am seeing how all of my hard work and dedication is paying off. Although college is very expensive, I believe it is worth the investment. I am a hard worker and a critical thinker who will not stop until I have achieved what I set out to do. I care about people and my goal is to help and encourage as many people as I can while being a registered nurse. My ultimate goal is to become a Nurse Anesthetist. Please invest in me and into my future by awarding me the scholarship. Thank you, Lindsey

Thomas K  on 2/20/2016 10:20:30 AM

This scholarship would be a huge benefit towards my college endeavors and I am very happy to have applied to an organization that has been loyal to my family for years. I plan to earn my bachelors in Nursing while at the same time, trying to be as free from college debt as possible. Best of luck to the other applicants and I suggest that anyone that is considering to apply for this scholarship should put those feelings into action and definitely apply for this scholarship.

Brent F  on 2/16/2016 11:27:19 PM

Hi my name is Brent Fisher, I am applying to this scholarship because I am in a very low income household and I need to be able to attend college. I have a very high GPA at 3.9 but I cannot afford to attend any more college. I also need to be able to pay for the essentials for school like books, paper, a computer, and other things that are needed in going to college. I really would like to make my future better through going to school but if I cannot afford it then I cannot go. I don't want to spend my entire life working for a gas station. I want to do something with my life. I want to make an impact on the world. I want to help people. I cannot do this if I am running off a minimum wage job and barely being able to scrape by. So I need to go to college and in order to do that I need this scholarship. Please please please accept my application.

Hello I am applying for this scholarship because it would help me out a lot to move foward in finishing my degree

Yolanda W  on 2/14/2016 9:09:15 AM

Hello, I am applying for this scholarship because my Twin daughters are very deserving students and they need funding for college. More importantly, they are excellent students with 3.9 GPA's who face stiff unusually tough competition for scholarships. They have peers that have GPA's greater than 4.5 who are winning most scholarships. My daughter are engaged in school and community service activities. They have been honor roll students all twelve years and are earning at least 4.0 GPA each semester in their senior year. They enrolled in a very competitive Science and Technology program focused on engineering and biology. They have passed many Advanced Placement (AP) courses and Community College courses. They have a great future ahead of them and this scholarship would be a needed "Thank you for your hard work" reward. Thank you for your consideration.

I applied to this scholarship in order to hopefully get some funding to study abroad in Japan. My school has a program that lets us study in Japan for a quarter, but of course, its expensive so I am looking for help to continue studying Japanese and Japanese culture. I would be extremely grateful!

Christopher V  on 2/10/2016 3:34:07 AM

I applied for this scholarship because I need some extra funding to pay for some much needed software for my degree program. As an unemployed student trying to get through Theology school I need a software program that costs 1300.00 and thats not exactly affordable. I really hope I can get this scholarship to help offset this expense.

Litrice B  on 1/28/2016 11:21:24 AM

Hello! My name is Litrice! I applied for this scholarship in hopes to win... I decided to return to college to get a degree and finally pursue my ideal job in Human Resources. I have many regrets not continuing my education straight out of high school but it was financially rough and still is to this date. I see no change but time passing by with no accomplishment to show :( Lesson learned in this life. Now we have 7 children! Which is why I want to obtain a Bachelor's degree and be a role model to each of our children! Plus, NO ONE in my family even attended college, and only 3 of my entire family members graduated high school! So this is a huge step and motivator for me to accomplish this in my life! I resigned my job to go to school full time while my awesome and supportive husband works hard as an Active duty soldier to support my dreams! We could really use this scholarship! Good luck to everyone who applied!

I am currently enrolled in college. I, including my family are struggling to pay my bills. I work two jobs while being a full time student. I feel bad for my family because I can't help out as much as I want to. We need as much help as we can get so I can finish my college degree and not have to take a break or drop out all together.
