  • This scholarship is for Three Rivers' Nuclear Engineering Technology degree program which has been cited as "the best nuclear technology program in the country" by former Nuclear Regulatory Commissioner William D. Magwood, IV. It leads to a career as a technician for the commercial nuclear power industry and the health physics field, or to continued bachelor degree studies. The scholarship awards are 100% paid scholarships including tuition, fees, and a monthly stipend.

    Eligibility:
    -Graduating high school seniors who will enroll/register as a full-time student at Three Rivers Community College
    -Acceptance into a nuclear engineering tech program with the goal of Associate Degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology
    -Must maintain a minimum of a 2.0 GPA during tenure in the program
    -12-weeks of hands-on experience

    Admission requirements for the Engineering Technology Degree Program:
    -Graduation from high school or a vocational-technical school. A State or Federal equivalency diploma is acceptable
    -Two units in mathematics (one in algebra and one in geometry, or two in algebra)
    -One unit in physical science with a laboratory (preferably chemistry or physics)
    -Four units of English. Completion of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is preferred, but not required
