AIANTA is proud to offer the Tourism & Hospitality Scholarship, which provides American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian students with financial assistance towards a degree or certificate in hospitality, tourism, recreation, culinary arts or related fields. Scholarships are available for certificate and associate programs, undergraduate and graduate programs - online colleges are applicable. PhD degrees are not eligible. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is recommended. Scholarships must be used for books and/or tuition.
Apart from completing the application, applicants must also submit: Tribal Enrollment, Certificate of Indian Blood or Tribal ID (Native Hawaiians may use their birth certificates as documentation for proof of Hawaiian ethnicity); a recent transcript (unofficial ones are also acceptable); a high school diploma or GED documentation (if applicable); proof of admission to college, university, or technical school (e.g. letter of acceptance, past tuition receipt, etc.); a high resolution headshot; and an essay (at least 500 words).
