The Boston University Presidential Scholarship is given to first-year students from around the globe who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. Presidential Scholars are among the most academically talented students and demonstrate excellence beyond the classroom and are leaders in their schools and communities. This tuition scholarship is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study. Recipients of this award typically rank in the top 5% of their high school class and have shown incredible extracurricular achievements in their schools and communities. Though test scores are not required, students who submit scores typically have SAT scores above 1500 and ACT scores above 33.
Applicants who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and eligible non-citizens are considered for all merit awards. International students are also considered. No additional essays or application forms are required. Students who wish to be considered for the Presidential Scholarship should submit their application and supporting credentials by December 1 of the current school year. The Presidential Scholarship is also available to international students and eligible non-citizens.
