Chicago Metropolitan High School Scholarship

• Scholarship Description
• To be eligible for the Chicago Metropolitan High School Scholarship, applicants must: be a graduating senior attending a high school in Cook County; be planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university in the summer or fall of the upcoming school year; have a minimum unweighted, cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; and show proof of acceptance to and enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university before the scholarship is awarded.

  Scholarship recipients will be selected based on a combination of academic achievements, active participation in extracurricular and/or community service activities, written communication skills demonstrated in the required essay recommendation letters. Apart from the basic information, the application will ask for other things, including: work experience, extra-curricular activities, awards, two recommendation letters, a transcript, a personal essay and a media waver.
