Because of this, the Saginaw Community Founda­tion administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational stu­dents. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships.   The Emma Jean Frierson Memorial Nursing Scholarship is for residents of Michigan who are pursuing an undergraduate degree or Career and Technical Education (CTE) (vocational training) in Nursing, ADN or RN. Applicant can have full- or part-time enrollment. Financial need is a requirement for this scholarship. Evaluation criteria is based on Academic performance (30); demonstrated leadership ability (20); letters of recommendation (20); financial need (15); essay on career goals (15).
