  • Scholarship Description
  • Khyentse Foundation is a non-profit organization that offers scholarships for Buddhist scholars. KF Individual Practice Grants are one-time grants that support individuals who wish to practice Dharma on retreat, public teachings, or other practice environments. KF accepts applications from practitioners, and retreatants from all traditions, schools, and sects of Buddhism.

    KF accepts open scholarship applications twice a year, from December 15 through January 15, and from June 15 through July15. To apply, download an application form online and submit it along with a 400-word essay. Applications are reviewed by an international selection committee.

Dear sir/madam, i am a indigenous Buddhist monk of Bangladesh at currently live in Srilanka as i had done my secondary education here and successfully but now i am studying in university of kelaniya department of pali and Buddhist studies in a third years of my graduate degree however i have pay $900 a year (semister) for my study because of i m foreign student. although i have no any financial helper for my studies . according to this situation it is very big amount to me. so if i can have some financial support to me that i can complete my graduate degree successfully and i ll able to support my Buddhist religion in my country where as very rarer of buddhism. i hope that your kind toward to me, Thank you Namo Buddhaya kind regard Ven Gyana pal

Harvard Supporters Back University in Admissions Trial

Harvard students and alumni will testify in support of Harvard during the admissions trial this week, defending its "race-conscious admissions policy" against claims that it discriminates against Asian-American applicants. The trial is the latest chapter in a lawsuit filed in 2014 by Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA).

Harvard University has been accused of "balancing its undergraduate classes to ensure that it had admitted its desired share of students of each race and ethnicity" and also for penalizing Asian-American applicants by "systematically giving them lower scores on a metric admissions officers use to measure personality." Adam Mortara, a lawyer representing SFFA, stated that the university scores applicants in four categories: academic achievement, athletic ability, extracurriculars, and personality. While referencing admissions data, he concluded that, despite their higher academic performance, Asian-Americans are admitted at lower rates. [...]
