  • Scholarship Description
  • This scholarship was established in 2001 by the Kreager family to provide financial assistance to college-bound graduating high school seniors. Graduating high school senior who is a Kalamazoo County resident or attends a high school within Kalamazoo County or a graduating high school senior who is enrolled in South Haven High School; planning to attend an accredited institution for vocational/technical training or a two- or four-year degree either part or full time. Must have suffered the loss of a parent or parents through death or abandonment after infancy. Demonstration of financial need according to the FAFSA; Preference may be given to graduating high school seniors from Gull Lake and South Haven High Schools, but this is not a requirement to apply.

    Application Requirements:
    -Essay submitted through eGRANT
    -Include how extracurricular activities volunteer experiences and leadership roles have helped to prepare you for your choice of study. If you have overcome challenges or improved in motivation and achievement during high school and/or college please provide this information as well
    -Two (2) copies of the scholarship recommendation form and letters of recommendation
    -An official cumulative transcript through the first semester or trimester of the senior year including ACT/SAT scores
