  • Scholarship Description
  • The Gift For Life Scholarships are available to any USBC Youth member currently in high school currently holding a GPA of 2.0 or higher and who can demonstrate financial need. USBC awards up to 12 scholarships each year.

    Two of the six awards are reserved annually for children of fire department, emergency rescue or police personnel. Selected finalists may be asked to provide evidence of their financial need. Award winners receive a $1,000 college scholarship.

    Eligibility:
    -Be a USBC Youth member in good standing
    -Be a current high school student in grade 9 through 12
    -Have a current GPA of 2.5 or better
    -Have a financial hardship and fully explain the hardship
    -Completed application and 500-word essay
    -Include at least two letters of reference (by a teacher, principal, employer, etc.)
    -Include an official or unofficial school transcript
    -Individuals may apply for and win this scholarship each year they are enrolled in high school
