Hello, my name is Gianna Moore. I am applying for this scholarship so that I am able to further advance my artistic skills with financial support. I have my own design company, and I plan on attending a 4-year college. I have a 3.9 GPA, and I am an active member in school clubs.

Dajey V  on 11/23/2022 7:18:41 PM

I applied for this scholarship to help myself afford college without having my family worry about helping me pay tuition. My GPA is a 3.5 and I am a Junior at Cordova High School, Rancho Cordova, CA. My school is not the best when it comes to helping Juniors receive resources to Financial Aid or help find scholarships to apply to. As I am a first-generation that is determined to go to a University, I also put upon myself the pressure of money and grades. I am one of the most hard-working and determined students there is. I want to be able to afford college as well as achieving a soccer scholarship to one of my top 25 college picked schools to apply for, to strive for my dream of becoming an ER nurse.

Jimmy B  on 10/7/2022 7:57:39 AM

Hello, my name is Jimmy Brown. I am an African American Honor student since 2nd grade. I’m a senior in high school. I am applying for this scholarship so that my situation of financial hardship to go to college does not prevent me from my heart’s desire to help people as my future career. I’ve played football for 9 years straight and during my life time I’ve seen a lot of unhealthy people and multiple injuries. I want to help people especially upcoming generations and elderly get healthy and live and improve their bodies. I’ve been injured a few times but by Gods grace I recovered. Experience is the best teacher and my goal is to help and educate others so they won’t go through what I went through.

Erick C  on 11/29/2021 10:26:57 AM

I'll be attending my first year of college this upcoming fall at The University of Arizona. I could really use the financial support as i am not receiving a lot of help from my FAFSA or my parents. I am really interested in pursuing my college experience studying finance and i plan to be a financial advisor in the future.

Abdelrahman elsharkawy  on 2/5/2021 1:04:07 AM

Brianna D  on 12/22/2020 2:02:30 PM

I am applying for this scholarship to help with my freshman year of college. I plan on going to a four year college to obtain my bachelors degree, with this scholarship I would be able to pay for books or other necessities important to my learning. I would greatly appreciate this scholarship that could help my discouragement with paying school off. In college I will be trying to battle out sports and work study. I want to stay far as possible from loans.

Christina T  on 12/4/2020 1:26:06 PM

I am a high school senior with a 3.7 GPA and have big plans for my future. So far my plan is to attend Arizona State University majoring in the field of Chemistry and to prepare myself to become a commissioned officer in the United States Navy through the Navy Recruit Officer Training Corp Program that is provided. My biggest issue with college is where my family and I will get the money to pay for it. I have a twin sister who is just as smart, if not smarter than I am, and that means my family will be paying for two people to go to college at the same time. If I could get this scholarship it could help my family and I pay for some out of the many expenses to come. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Skylar Jacobs  on 12/1/2020 10:58:29 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because It would only benefit me for the financial stress that I will face in college, but It would help my immigrant parents who risked everything and left everything back home In Eritrea to give me a better opportunity here in America. Going to college and majoring in the business industry such as real estate would be my dream and I am willing to work hard for it. With this degree that I will achieve, I plan on becoming successful in the future while investing in stocks and building my real estate character in order to put my parents in a better place. I want to be able to bring the rest of my family who are back home so they can taste the good life here in America instead of having to struggle back home. I am maintaining my 3.7 GPA and I still have more to go but I am willing to work hard and take all the risks and obstacles that come my way. I am so heavily grateful for you considering my on this scholarship and I promise to not let you down.

Chloe B  on 11/27/2020 5:52:16 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I think it will be a great opportunity for me and my family and I also feel like I am a great fit for what you are looking for. While I kept my GPA at 3.35 throughout my high school career, I was more focused on getting involved as much as I could. Because I understood that getting good grades was important but building relationships with my peers could last a lifetime. I really like this scholarship opportunity because it is not based all on my academic records and I know that I am much more than those numbers. I hope you take me into consideration. Thank you!

Kristauna R  on 11/24/2020 11:02:48 PM

I am applying to this scholarship because it'll be essential to my mission of being the first college graduate of my family. The opportunities I am given will greatly be appreciated. As a minority I have made it my goal to not only be an example I would look up to, but one that motivates others as well to achieve their dreams. Though money may be an issue, such as in my case there are ways we can look past and move forward in order to make these dreams a reality. I am hard working and patient, these allow me to be the dedicated individual I am.

I am applying for this scholarship to help me and my parents be able to get me through college without having to be in an astronomical amount of debt. I am a senior in high school planning to double major in English and Musical Theater. This scholarship could help me be able to reach my dreams without worrying so much about money. I have missed a lot of school due to an eye tumor, but have still been able to keep a 3.30 GPA. I know that it is not that high, but it is higher than I thought it would be based on how much school I have missed. I am involved in over 7 musically dependent activities during the school year and they have helped me grow so much these past 4 years. Thank you so much for your consideration.

Najah Fontenot  on 11/22/2020 11:00:50 PM

I am applying for this scholarship to make college more affordable for myself and my family. My mom and dad are both very hard-working middle class people. My GPA is 2.5 I have a learning disability along with ADHD and I work extremely hard and always apply myself to my fullest ability. My teachers always comment and are always so proud of my hardwork. I want to pursue a career in law enforcement by attending an on-campus 4 year criminal justice program. I would be so appreciative for any consideration.

Brooklyn J  on 11/17/2020 2:21:10 PM

Growing up, I have always gravitated towards helping others. I love lifting the burdens of others off their shoulders and seeing a smile come across their face. Because I have always wanted to help others I want to become a nurse. I want to be warm and welcoming and care for others the best way I can. However, sometimes in life there are challeneges that get in the way and in my life, money is one of those. With this scholarship it will lift the heavy weight that has taken a huge toll on not only me but my family as well. Now with these earnings I will finally be able to pursue my dreams of helping others! I sincerely hope you consider me for this scholarship!

Jamie P  on 11/15/2020 3:36:25 PM

I really want to receive this scholarship. My parents work every day and barely have time to see my brother's and my faces because they work so much. I know that once I'll be in college, it'll be harder for them to see each other and enjoy their time together because they'll be having to pay for my college tuition. I really don't want to see that. I think that that's something I wish I'll never have to experience. That's why I want to receive as much funding as possible in order to have my parents work less and to just enjoy the time they have together. As I enter college in less than a year, I want to go into nursing and become a nurse, saving lives. I think that the importance of life is to be caring and compassionate towards others. That's why I want to become a nurse. I want to help others when they need the help they deserve and become their mentor. I believe that the role of a nurse is huge and I want to be there for everyone. That's why I'm applying to this amazing scholarship. I believe that my education comes first, but I want to help my parents as well. If I have the opportunity to receive this award, I would be more than grateful. I would probably be crying due to joy. Thank you for your time, and have a great rest of your day.

Erica J  on 11/13/2020 10:03:12 AM

Thank you!

sophia s  on 11/12/2020 11:31:41 PM

My name is Sophia Smith. I am a senior in high school. As we all have been face to face with this pandemic, I can only hope that the majority of students applying for scholarships are able to utilize them. I am applying for this scholarship for many reasons. I have faced tragedy with the unexpected death of my father, leaving myself, two sisters and mother with only each other. My mom had to start from scratch, since there was nothing left for us. She did it with great strength and with that strength she cared for us with encouraging words of determination and faith. Watching my mother fight for our survival reminded me of what my parents instilled in me at a young age, and that is to work hard for what you want. I am a young bi-racial woman, that has faced racism. Racism only makes me a stronger person. I will not falter from judgement. I will strive and pursue what is in my heart. I express myself through drawing and painting. Creating from my soul has saved me during my darkest of times. I want to show myself and the world what I have to offer. Continuing education is a blessing. Appreciating the opportunity to learn is priceless. As I read the other applicants comments, I know there are many of us struggling. Bless your company for the opportunity to let so many share their stories. Thank you.

ilene m  on 11/12/2020 8:59:54 PM

I am applying for this scholarship to be able and get as much help as I can to be able to pay for college. I come from a low income house hold and my dream is to be able to go to college and pay it off. I have worked hard to get here and have had many ups and downs I have been my own motivation throughout my education and I think winning this scholarship would be a big help. Thank you for taking me into consideration.

Keyvonta B  on 11/10/2020 12:25:58 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I would like to go to college and not have to worry as much about student loans. In college I plan on majoring in Psychology to one day become a Psychiatrist. I am a God fearing Black man who is great with people and very intelligent. I have a GPA of 3.88 and am continuously trying to pull it up. Being considered for this scholarship would be a great honor.

Lucas H  on 11/5/2020 7:10:34 PM

I am applying for this scholarship to ease the financial burden on my family. I have a 3.97/4.97 GPA, a 1520 SAT superscore, and am an Eagle Scout. I would like to attend the University of Pennsylvania, but the cost is going to put extreme stress on my family. I pride myself with strong leadership skills, which I've gained from being a 2 year varsity basketball player and coaching a local youth team. Thanks for consideration!

Elise A  on 11/4/2020 2:54:49 PM

I am applying for this scholarship to ease in to the financial burden that will come with college. In college, I intend on becoming a fine arts and special education teacher, so that those with and without disabilities alike can come together and flourish in creativity, enabling the community to grow stronger. I greatly appreciate being considered for this scholarship, thank you.

Chayse O  on 11/4/2020 12:35:56 PM

I am applying for this scholarship to help relieve the financial struggle of attending college. Working a part-time job, helping pay some of my parents bills, as well as paying my own, and maintaining a steady 3.41 GPA in all of my years through high school make me an excellent candidate for this scholarship. Neither of my parents have an actual high school diploma, both have a GED or equivalent, but I would like to be the first in my family to attend a university in the fall of 2021 majoring in Nursing or Pre-Med. Thank you for taking the time to read!

Hannah N  on 11/4/2020 10:56:43 AM

I'm applying for this scholarship to ease my college financial burden. I intent to pursue under graduate studies in pre-law and earn a graduate school degree in corporate law. I intent to use the lessons and experiences I've come across to help me shape my future and leave a mark on the world in creating a better living space, community, and society for generations to come. Thank you for your time and consideration.

eularia f  on 11/4/2020 10:25:21 AM

I'm a high school senior I'm applying for this scholarship I need this to not let my parents worry about where they are going to get the money form to pay for my college or my university. They worked so hard for me to have a good life and I want to pay off by getting for my schools and not worrying about money.

Mary H  on 10/31/2020 3:43:19 PM

I am applying for this scholarship based on need- my mother is a nail technician and when COVID came around, it really halted our ability to save as much as we planned to for my college attendance.

Isabella C  on 10/28/2020 9:49:51 PM

My reason for application is like everyone else’s — money. I have an older sister who is also in college and she is the only one paying for my sister to get an education. I don’t want her to pay for me as well and I do not have the funds to put myself through 4 years of school at the University of Tennessee. I want to see myself succeed just as much as the next person. I push myself to be better every day. I have a 3.8 GPA and i’m endlessly trying to get it better. As a first generation college student, I want to make my family proud. I plan to become an elementary teacher. I want to not only educate the kids, but also teach them important life lessons. I want to learn from the kids simultaneously. This scholarship would help me tremendously.

Alayna F  on 10/28/2020 12:38:42 PM

I am a high school senior and will graduate in 2021. This scholarship would mean the world to me. I am the youngest and the financial burden for my parents to pay for college is enormous due to the fact that my mom and older sister are also in college and we do not qualify for financial assistance. My parents work multiple jobs to make ends meet. My parents have always told me that hard work pays off and nothing worth having is easy. My dad is a factory worker, my mom is working on her BSN and my sister is in Pharmacy school. We have always been encouraged and supported in our education and required to have and maintain high academic achievement. I have worked really hard at achieving this goal since kindergarten. I currently have a weighted 4.3 GPA while taking all honors classes and AP Dual Enrollments since 9th grade. I also managed to do it while struggling with ADD, depression, anxiety and other health issues as well as overcoming PTSD from an emotionally and physically abusive dating relationship for two years. This money will secure my future goals and release the burden off of my parents and myself for education and future goals. Thank you for considering me for this scholarship.

I would like to apply for this scholarship to take the financial burden off of my parents. My parents didn't get to go the college and I would like to be able to go.

Nanako H  on 10/25/2020 2:48:06 AM

I am applying for scholarship because my mom is a single mother and it's been like that all my life. It's really hard since we don't get a lot of money and we don't have any family in America to help us either. I don't want to depend on my mom for money to pay for college. Either way it wouldn't be enough to pay for all of college. I have a 3.1 gpa in high school so far. I plan to attend college and get a bachelors degree in wildlife biology and anything to help the environment especially with climate change right now. I feel like it is a big deal to keep the earth alive.

I want to be a first generation student in my family it would make make so proud to accomplish something as big a graduating college. I've been through many hardships and am still going trough some, my grandpa passed away three years ago and it still feels like it was yesterday. I have a 3.4 GPA in high school and have been a part of the National Honor Society since 10th grade as well as made honor roll every year. I have overcome many obstacles both educationally and most importantly personally over the years which have helped me grow and become the strong person I am today.

Hailey K  on 9/25/2020 8:40:34 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I need as much help as I can. I have to pay for college all by myself because my parents never saved money for me nor want to help me pay. I would like to attend Penn state or Rhode Island for college and since I'm from neither of those states, it will be expensive. I want to become a Social worker or a Psychologist because these are what interest me the most. I always see people dissatisfied with work and I don't want that to be me, so, I want to follow what interest me. Both of my parents don't have good jobs nor went to college so my goal in life is to do better than them and show my family how successful I can be. Thank you for your time and consideration

Gonzalez S  on 9/24/2020 4:06:21 PM

I am applying to this scholarship because it'll be essential to my mission of being the first college graduate of my family. The opportunities I am given will greatly be appreciated. As a minority I have made it my goal to not only be an example I would look up to, but one that motivates others as well to achieve their dreams. Though money may be an issue, such as in my case there are ways we can look past and move forward in order to make these dreams a reality. I am hard working and patient, these allow me to be the dedicated individual I am.

Shonda S  on 9/22/2020 7:58:20 AM

Amneet B  on 9/17/2020 3:43:45 PM

I am applying for this application because this is a great opportunity for receiving a scholarship and receiving all of my financial aid to help my family. I plan on attending a University in the fall of 2021 and pursuing my career by majoring in nursing and biology. None of my parents or not even in my family particularly have graduated or even attended a four year college, I want to make a statement for myself and my family and become the first member to attend and hopefully graduate. I am a very independent and hardworking individual so I thank you for your time and consideration and hopefully may have a chance for receiving this offer.

Adrianna B  on 9/15/2020 11:28:18 PM

I am the eldest daughter of 4 children and will be the first to attend college. I've played sports (softball and volleyball) all my life and I'm a dedicated student, all while working as a ranch hand. I would love to take the financial burden off of myself and my parents with a scholarship that would help me achieve the education I'm working towards.

Blairlanee B  on 9/15/2020 2:00:59 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I need all the financial help I can receive. I am the best fit for this scholarship because I am hard-working, and dedicated. I am attending college in the fall of 2021. I plan on majoring in International business. Thank you for considering me.

Brianna S  on 9/13/2020 6:20:51 PM

Being accepted to receive this scholarship would be a gracious gift for myself. It would eliminate lots of money that I would have to pay for schooling and would help me out a lot. I plan on attending a university in the fall of 2021 and will be majoring in journalism. Majoring in journalism has always been a dream of mine and I would be following in my father's footsteps. He, himself was an automotive journalist and I plan to be any type of journalist that I can be. Thank you for your time and hope I may get the chance to be a Dell Scholar.

Angela H  on 9/9/2020 5:26:18 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I need all the financial help I can receive. I am the best fit for this scholarship because I am hard-working, and dedicated. I am attending college in the fall of 2021. I plan on majoring in psychology. I want to major in psychology because it is my deed to help people. I have this passion for helping people. I go above and beyond to accomplish everything I have. As a senior in high school, it is my duty to mentor the younger class men below me. Being a leader to the kids below me is something I take pride in. I love getting to mentor and lead children below me. Thank you for your consideration and time.

I’m applying for this scholarship because it would be useful when I further my education to a university of my choice. I would love to have help when paying for books and tuition and I’m sure this scholarship is the one for me. My GPA is a 3.4 unweighted and I was recognized as the student of the month at my high school because of the integrity and determination I have in me. If granted this scholarship, a weight would be lifted off of me and thankful would be the word to describe how I would be feeling.

Damon W  on 9/7/2020 10:54:07 AM

I am a young Aftrican American male. I have a Weighted GPA of 4.70 and I am trying to go to school with the least possible amount of debt and financial worries as possible. My mom isn't in any way able to care for my needs or to help pay for my college tuition or anything for that matter. My family lives off a fixed income.

Crispin M  on 9/7/2020 12:38:17 AM

My name is Crispin Mendoza and this is my first scholarship ive applied to i dont know how this works but i am interested in going to uti tech in sacrametno, CA i am going to move out as soon i graduate and learn responsibility rather than live with my parents even if that means i have to work really hard to pay my tuition. This would help me and i heard its good to apply for scholarships from my peers, thank you for reading this if you do, have a good day.

As a part time youth leader at the Girls Inc organization, Math and Science UpWard bound member, part of the leadership class and a 4.1 GPA with a schedule full of AP classes and Dual enrollment as well; I find this scholarship a tremendous chance to a girl like me who came to the USA in 2016 knowing nothing about the educational system, but all I had,was my hard work and my passion to earn a degree in Dentistry. I have always dreamt to study in the USA and when I finally was granted the chance to do so; I came across the complications of paying money for college, looking at my family's financial hardships and the need to pay off my tuition and my twin's tuition as well sounded impossible. There is no better way to give back to this country that provided me with a free, fair, inclusive and mind growing teaching methods until 12 grade; except by entering college and earning a degree and using and applying my knowledge on upholding and setting a great example to the following generations. I would love to express more of my feelings and passion towards entering a 4 year university to achieve my goals and especially make a dream come true and see the proud look on my parents' faces. I hope this comment finds you well, and I hope I get a chance to be a Dell Scholar.

Lilith M.  on 8/27/2020 4:03:23 PM

I would love to be rewarded this scholarship, especially since I have a low-income family and will have a hard time paying for college without the help of scholarships and grants. I have lots of motivation to do well in school and become the most successful I can be.

hillary malesi  on 8/26/2020 6:01:51 PM

I am applying for this scholarship initially because I know without one I won’t be able to go college full time. I want my mother to be proud of me for doing something that she wasn’t able to and also the rest of my family. I am hard working and will try my best to achieve any task at hand.

Ashanti H  on 8/21/2020 12:26:27 AM

This would be a great opportunity and blessing to receive this scholarship! I currently have a 3.95 GPA and I’m trying to get all the funds I can to continue my education. Both of my parents are disabled so my goal is to get all the help I can to lessen their burden! I’ll be grateful for this opportunity!!

Hi, my name is Kristin Kim, and I'm a rising senior this year. My dream is to either major in Biology, Nursing, Chemistry, Gerontology, or Math and to be accepted into the University of Michigan. I came across this scholarship because I am actually placed in foster care last year, and it's very scary and hard for me since it's a different environment to adjust into. With me being placed in a different home, I couldn't access the materials for my academic success at school since there was a barrier preventing my achievements. Being removed from their home and placed in foster care is a difficult and stressful experience for me. However, I didn't quit because there are many chances and possibilities for a better life and I show remarkable determination to move forward. During my junior year, my teachers helped me get to the top of the point and I thank them for their hard work, which pays off. I would like to apply for this scholarship because I know that it will be difficult to pay for college. Because I'm a foster kid, I may qualify for financial aid. In high school I've been taking many AP classes and I already started to get a head start in searching for scholarships. Being a senior has a lot of responsibilities - such as college essays, applying for scholarships and colleges, and after graduating, there is a big life to move on for the rest of my life. There is no turning back for me because I worked really hard to have a better education and my goal is to get into a good college. Please consider me for this scholarship. I know I can be successful!

I have not applied for this scholarship in the past. I am a Senior with a 2.9 unweighted GPA but weighted its a 3.3 GPA and with this reflecting mistakes i've made in the past. By senior year it should be up to an unweighted of at least 3.1. I applied for this scholarship in hopes of getting college help coming from a place of poverty myself. Also a class called AVID has put this scholarship in light for me. AVID, an acronym for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is an "untracking" program designed to help underachieving students with high academic potential prepare for entrance to colleges and universities. Thank you for your time reading this!

Hello! I am a freshmen college student here in the Philippines. I am looking for scholarship program on this website and I found that your company is looking for scholar. My father is providing us the the need for the school and I have 2 siblings who still studying too, and the salary that he get from his Job is not enough to provide us because my mother don't have a work. In order to help them, I am looking for scholarship to help them for the finances because it is really hard to study without the money to pay the expenses for the school, since college life is to much expensive for us. Talking about academic performance I am eligible for working on progress and my grades are good, I am active related to school. Moreover, I currently enrolled at one of the finest school in the Philippines MSU-IIT and I'm taking Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology. However, since I am a freshmen I have lots to cover things like project and other miscellaneous needed for my school. I would like to achieve my goals and dreams that's why I am here writing on your company to have a chance to have scholarship, and I am looking forward to read this letter. Please contact me at my gmail account mprincejoel06@gmail.com, if ever you are willing to help me. THANK YOU for your time reading this , I hope you will give me priority and have wonderful day. Sincerly, Prince M.

Dell Scholarship program gives opportunity for students who is struggling financially and wouldn't be able pay for their tuition fees. This paved way and molded the dreams of every students to conquer their dreams and graduate in their chosen fields.

I fit the criteria to apply for this scholarship. I'm looking forward to attending College for Creative Studies in Fall 2020. I'm looking forward to majoring in Transportation Design. My mom was terminated from her job recently and this was a huge component to assisting my college cost even though I plan to work and go to school. I've created my own website to sell clothing and I also customize sneakers to help earn money, outside of my working at a fast-food restaurant to earn additional monies. I hope I'm a winner of some of the scholarships I've applied to in hopes that they will help defray some of my college costs. Thank You!

Eric G  on 4/9/2020 9:13:06 PM

What a great opportunity!

Arjun T  on 3/29/2020 4:34:42 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I feel like I could properly take advantage of the funds being given towards my education, and a scholarship would benefit and improve my chances of graduation without the financial burden, allowing me to pursue a career in business management.

Giselle F  on 1/5/2020 2:49:44 PM

This is a great opportunity for me to take, the reason I say this is because college will be difficult to pay for. However, I have been going through this program called STEM at my current high school and it stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. With this program it has given me opportunities to take AP and Dual Credit classes. I have seen a huge improvement with my academics I currently do have a 3.8 GPA and will by the end of my senior year will graduate with a 3.8. I am also applying for this scholarship to achieve my goals and dreams that I have had ever since I was a little girl. I want to attend the University of Texas at Austin and study Pharmacy while I hope to attend there. With this scholarship it will be better myself as a person and will better future medicine.

Veronica M  on 11/20/2019 10:18:26 PM

As much as I would love to apply to this scholarship given my drastic financial need (My EFC after completion of the FAFSA was $0.) and my high grades (3.8 GPA- I plan to graduate in 2020 with a 4.0), I cannot apply. I apparently have not taken an approved college readiness program. I've been going through CCP- Career College & Promise since Junior year. That is a dual-enrolled program where you take both high school classes and college classes at the same time. How is this not one of their "college readiness programs" when it is literally college courses? It's rather upsetting... I hope you Dell Scholars look into this program and consider adding it to their list.

I want him to get his career but the way things are at this time it’s seems really hard. I don’t want to tell him that I can’t afford his college because I have faith in God that one way or another we will make it work. The college process is very stressful but gratifying all at the same time. this money would be life changing for my life. Coming from a household of a single parent is a struggle and education is my way to have better opportunities and have a solid foundation. College is everything to me. I don't want to start my adult life in debt.

This scholarship would help me to achieve my goals of achieving a college degree. I am the sixth of seven children and have struggled with Dyslexia and ADHD. My siblings have successfully completed college without the academic struggles that I have experienced. My hope is to get a college degree in business and to become a productive member of society despite my struggles. I am willing to work hard and have enrolled in a program at the University of Arizona (SALT program) that will help me be successful. Unfortunately, I do not qualify for academic scholarships so the cost for this program adds even more to the tuition. Please consider me for this scholarship. My grades do not reflect my intellect and I know I can be successful!

Mariah R  on 11/15/2018 12:59:27 PM

Hello my name is Mariah Rodriguez. This scholarship caught my eye because of the fact that it is a scholarship, and money towards my college education would be very much appreciated. My parents both work, as do I. We as a family, come together to help pay stuff and we support each other, but times still are tough and I would do anything to make their stress go away from sending me to college. Thank you for considering me and I hope we can come into contact.

Catt P  on 11/7/2018 12:49:10 AM

My name is Catt Phan and it would be a dream to win any scholarship honestly. I have been able to do most things I've wanted because my parents would pay for it without a complaint, if that activity would help me succeed in the future, they were willing to spend any price. Now realizing how much I cost and how much it really was to pay for everything I wanted, I realized how hard it was for my parents to pay for all of it. I want to win a scholarship to lessen their financial burden, so they wouldn't have to worry or work any harder to spend me off to college. I would be grateful to win any thing. Thank you.

Hadi L  on 9/9/2018 5:15:37 PM

Hi my name is Hadi Lashin and it would be an honor to receive this scholarship. Both of my parents are immigrants. My mother came over when she was 9 with her family and my father came in his 20's on his own. My father had to drop out of high school to get a full time job to help support his family. He never had a chance to go to college and my mom had to put herself through college. This would be a great start to pursue my dream of being a pediatrician and becoming the first doctor in my family. Thank you

Maya J  on 8/30/2018 12:44:11 PM

Hello my name is Maya Johnson and I am applying this for this scholarship because I have dreams and I am going to make them a reality no matter how hard I have to push my self. Winner this scholarship will help me because my mother is a single mother, and every time it is time to pay rent we struggle. My mother has and is doing all that she can to make my life better, and we do not have any family to help us. When I was 12 years old I was placed in foster care and there I was Sexually assaulted, and since then my family left me, my mom, and my sister alone to fight the system, and a lot of my family talked down on me and always thought I was going to end up like them because my grandparents and everyone I know other than my mother is addicted to Crack Cocaine, and so they all said that was going to be me. My mother made sure that me and my sister had the best life even if that meant she stayed up until 2 am working, and even if that meant she didn't eat but we went to sleep full at night. My mother always told me I am going to e something great and she always says god gives his greatest battles to his strongest warriors. This Scholarship will show my mother that even though her mother did not take care of her, my mother took care of me and she has made sure that every dream I've ever had has become a reality , and I want to show her that all those late night light were worth it.

Sara M  on 6/26/2018 1:04:22 PM

Hello my name is Sara Meraja and it would be my dream to win this scholarship because both of my parents are immigrants that came to America for a better life for me. My mother and father came to America with only a suitcase full of clothes and nothing else. They didn't know how to speak English. They went through very tough times. Now, I want to get a scholarship to make them proud of all the hardships they faced. I want to thank them for everything they have done for me by following my dreams and becoming something great. Thank you.

Jasmine W  on 6/3/2018 4:05:03 PM

Hello my name is Jasmine Wise, and I come from a family where my mother is disabled and unable to work and my father is retired and is currently going through chemotherapy due to his lung cancer. I am the only person in my family able to work and bring in income. This helps my family greatly but unfortunately has taken a downfall upon my grades and academic performance in school. I work as much as I can to make sure the bills get paid and there is food on the table, but it has sent me from being an A and B student to barely passing my classes, and has affected my attendance greatly. I was absent from school to be with my father who is suffering and trying to recover, but now that it is time to start applying for colleges so that I can further my education and obtain a career that can help further provide for my family, I have found it to be extremely difficult because although I am a good student when I have the time to study and focus and not worry, my grades do not reflect as so given my predicament. I am a hard worker and I have been able to hold one job down for over a year but eventually left to get another job because I was not getting enough hours to support my family. But now I am working as much as possible after school, on the weekends, and almost everyday during the summer. If I cannot afford college because I am not eligible for academic scholarships, then it would be detrimental to my family and education. So if I were to win this scholarship I would be so very grateful.

Julieanna B  on 5/15/2018 8:24:32 PM

I come from a single family home, with no one except my mother beside me. My mother did her best to raise me by herself and she faced many hardships. After the business she worked for foreclosed when I was about seven years old, she was jobless, sustaining us with what little savings she had. Presently, my mother has an unstable job with no paid time off. With the paychecks I get from my part-time job, I try to lessen the weight on her shoulders. In the future, I hope to further my education without the shadow of debt haunting us. I strive to achieve my goal of becoming a designer, and with this scholarship, the forthcoming of thousands of dollars in student debt can be whisked away. My name is Julieanna, and no matter what struggles, obstacles, hindrances stand in my way, I will persevere.

College tuition is expensive and often prevents students from getting the college education they want. These expenses are often the toughest on parents, and I just don't want my parents to be stressed out because of financial needs. I would really appreciate it if you would consider me for this scholarship.

Courtney F  on 11/17/2010 7:33:57 AM

I have never applied for this scholarship before. I have started looking for scholarships offering me the opportunity to get money to pay for college. I don't want to have student loan debt when I leave college. Scholarships and grants are my only means of that. Unfortunately, no one can really help me pay for college so I will apply to every scholarship I can. That is why I am applying to this one. Because of the opportunity it presents me. With this, I can go to college and achieve my dream of becoming an orthopedic surgeon.

Nia H  on 6/15/2009 12:51:35 PM

It took a long time to apply, there's alot of work involved, but it's worth it 100%! I won! You get 20,000 and a computer with a printer!!! Don't doubt yourself, try!!!
