As an African American male in my senior year of high school my application for this scholarship can provide equity, a sustainable, positive college climate to foster learning for a productive, contributing and satisfying life in a democratic society.

I am going to apply. I ran for many student offices, but the popular vote went to the students who are more popular and more outgoing. I understand. I have Asbergers, so I'm shy and not always outgoing. I do participate in a lot of extra curricular activities in school. I sing in our school's a Capella group, and I represented our school at the Student's Augustinian Value Institute. It's important for people to be treated equally and have a voice. I want to be a person who gives other people like me a voice. I also work hard to be more outgoing and it's not easy. I joined my school's drama club so I could get more comfortable being in the spot light. I want to study law and public policy . This scholarship would really help me with my futures

I have no idea what to do with this but I will apply. This could be the difference of me making it and not.

I would thoroughly appreciate this experience. I am very interested in the life of politics. My goal for college is to study History, Law and English. I feel this would be a great way to start. Your consideration in granting me this scholarship is greatly appreciated.

I would apply for this but if I win this scholarship I wouldn't want to go to the trip to DC. because I wouldn't want to miss school because I would be getting ready for my finals.
