I am applying to this scholarship to aid in my education for future endeavors. I work hard in school to maintain a 4.0 GPA because I know it helps when trying to afford college. I work 11 hours a week and volunteer 2 hours per week all on top of school, for the sake of my future. I am a school leader and help the administration to keep the student’s behaviors appropriate and make school events run smoothly. I also participate in my towns Rotary and obtained an officer position of the club. I do my best to lead those around me in the right direction because I love to help those around me.

How do I apply to this scholarship?

Ayda O  on 12/13/2022 10:56:09 PM

Coming from a family that is not financially stable is hard for me to pay for my education. Also, seeing my parents working in the fields out in the sun for long hours motivates me to attend college since I'm the first in my family to attend a College. I could be an example for my siblings and encourage them to pursue higher education in college. I work hard to graduate high school to continue studying. Not being financially is challenging to pay for college, but I am confident that if I work hard enough, it will be worth it. My goal is to have a professional career in politics even though there are going to be hard times but nothing is impossible. I studied hard all the years I attended school to have good grades and learn skills that will help me prepare for college. I believe that this scholarship will help me with my education needs. It would be an honor to be awarded this scholarship.

I'm applying to this scholarship to help me pay off my school bills during college. Me applying to this scholarship isn't only about the money but about me getting closer to my dreams. I'm an immigrant brought to America at the age of 6 I didn't understand English but over time i became very flaunt in English. Being brought to a new country was difficult, but I have gained so much knowledge and became an activist for the youth within my school. Brought afro dance to my school to showcase my culture to other ethnical groups to show them that it's okay to embrace our culture and that there is positive outcome that come out of it. Even though I have left my homeland my heart still beats for it. I want to go to college to study criminal law to help fight for wrongfully incarcerated individuals, business and international affairs so that I can go back home to my country to help the young kids on the streets who have no homes or can't go to school due to the fact that they have to work in order to have a roof over their heads. I also want to start a non-profit to help street sellers in Africa to help pay bills or have money to buy more stock. With this scholarship I would be so closes to my goals and would be in a position to chase my goals and do good within my community and back home.

Do you have to work at Burger King to apply for this scholarship?

Steven M  on 12/5/2022 4:51:53 PM

I wish to attain this scholarship not because I want to settle with my degree, but because I genuinely believe that the degree I want to obtain will be the skeleton key to all of my future business decisions. I see college as a great way to be around like-minded people. People who with there skills could push society forward. I want to grow off of these people, become potential partners with them, and develop a tight-knit circle of innovative minds that I can always be apart of. I dedicate myself to progress and growth, and college would be the perfect opportunity in more ways than one if I could only afford it.

My dream has always been being a fashion designer. I worked so hard to get good grades to make it to a good art school so I can advance in my fashion design career. I've finally was able to get accepted into SAIC the second best art school in the United States. My family didn't come up rich and of course getting into a big college comes with a big tuition and the tuition I have to pay for this art school is such a burden on my family and I would really love to get this scholarship so I can be the one in my family break our generational curses.

I am applying for this Scholarship to help reduce the finical hurdle of attending college. I am prepared to do the work and mow I seek the opportunity to excel at academics thereby become a contributing member of society. Thank you for your consideration of my application.

Eric J  on 11/25/2020 3:06:03 PM

I believe I should be awarded this scholarship as I am a hardworking senior with a GPA of 3.8 and a 1220 on the SAT. My goal is to be accepted into Binghamton university for a degree in Neuroscience. I am very involved in my community with over 100 hours of community service at my local church. I also have working experience as I have been working at Burger King for the past 4 months and have learned so much about my job and its application. This will financially help me pay for college and focus more on my work and academics more.

I am a senior in high school and looking back, I feel as though I have worked hard to maintain a 4.5 GPA while balancing my athletic responsibilities and social life. I am proud that I scored a 32 on my ACT, and I plan on continuing to strive for solid grades as I see out the rest of my senior year, and begin my studies in college. I've captained my high school soccer team as both a junior and a senior, and I use my leadership qualities to volunteer at various organizations with teammates, my favorite being TOPSoccer, where we help coach and make soccer an enjoyable experience for children with disabilities. A scholarship of this magnitude would be extremely beneficial to help me and my family pay for college, and I'm glad at least someone will benefit from it.

Hi I’m Erin and I have an unweighted GPA of 3.863. My weighted GPA is 4.133. I’ve been in my school’s backpack tutoring volunteer program for 4 years. The past two years I have been a leader of the program. I have been a writing coach for 3 years, and this year I am on the blog team for our Writing Center website. I will have taken a total of 8 AP classes when I finish my senior year of high school. I have also been involved in Human Rights club and Global Cultures club, and this year I joined National Art Honors Society. I really like making art and NAHS is a great community that creates art with a humanistic purpose. I have taken French since I was in 7th grade and last year I was in International Studies studying Norway. I was also on the cross country team for one year and the sailing team last year.

Even though I am not sure where I will attend college, I am still concerned about how to pay for it. I would like to study Environmental Science and research new methods of renewable energy, but I know I will not make enough to pay off student loans. I have worked hard for my grades, and I currently have a 31 on the ACT, which I hope I can improve. I think I should be considered for this scholarship so it will be possible for me to work my way through college and graduate debt free.

I am a senior in high school at Central Catholic High School. I am looking for a scholarship to develop my career in pediatric oncology. I am planning on attending University of Louisiana at Lafayette to further my education. I want to apply for this scholarship so my parents don't have to worry about paying for my long term education. I currently have a 3.8 and have a 21 composite.

Ryan B  on 9/3/2020 12:57:55 PM

I am a senior in high school and I have worked very hard to earn a GPA of 4.145 and I received a 25 on the ACT. I am leader in my community by organizing community clean up opportunities. I also work with the American Legion with the Adopt A Mile Program to clean the surrounding area. I hope you will consider me for the scholarship so that I can earn my own way through college and not be a financial burden on my family.

Albright Tuah  on 1/10/2020 9:09:49 PM

Being the first generation Ghanaian girl in my family, I really want to attend college in order to not only learn the skills necessary for me to fulfill my dreams--which is to go to Medical school and become an Oncologist--but to set an example for my sister to follow. For me, I know that going to college will be a big challenge if I don't secure any scholarships, this is why I want to apply to this scholarship because if given this scholarship,my family and I won't have to worry about paying for college or getting loans.

Niamiah C  on 1/7/2020 1:44:46 PM

I am a freshman at Adams State University. I attended this school because my dream was to play college soccer and I got an offer to play there. I love the school and I get to live my dream but unfortunately the school is very expensive. Women's soccer does not get many scholarships so I must find other scholarships if I want to continue attending next year.

I'm really excited about the possibility of being a recipient for this scholarship because it will mean that I can finally sign up for flight school. Enrolled in college has created a insatiable thirst for becoming a pilot, but with this scholarship, I will be able to quench that thirst and do college and flight school at the same time. So thank you, thank you THANK YOU!

Andrea H  on 12/29/2019 9:44:54 PM

I plan on attending Alverno college to obtain my BSN. I want to have an excellent career and job, not only to have a good future, but to also give back to all those who've helped me along my journey and many more. I plan on using the money to help pay for my college expenses. I know my parents can only help me so much. My parents grew up in Mexico and they both came from very poor families. Our family is humble. Everything we have came with a sacrifice. They have taught me to be diligent and a hard-worker. I do not take anything for granted. And I look up to my parents a lot, their impact is profound, I seek their guidance and I hope to make them proud. I want to use this money to advance my medical education. With the education I receive, I will go on to help many people and make a difference in their lives.

This scholarship would allow me to purse my career in education. Teaching is one of those things that nearly everybody thinks he or she can do better than the experts. Everybody has taught something to somebody at one time or another, after all. We begin our amateur teaching careers as children by imposing our superior knowledge on our younger siblings or playmates. As students, we pass judgement among our peers on this or that teacher's capabilities. As adults, those of us who do not teach professionally stand ever ready to criticize those who do. To where I want to make a difference.

This scholarship will help me to pursue my dream in the medical field. My desire is to become a Pediatrician. Since this will be challenging for my parents, I will start with Pre-Med/Nursing. I usually work at a Day Care during the vacation. I want to serve this country with excellence. Presently, my GPA is 3.93, and I will be writing the SAT very soon.

carmen g  on 10/22/2018 9:56:40 PM

This scholarship would allow me to pursue my career in the medical field. I goal to become a doctor started from seeing my grandparents suffer from poor doctors. Growing up I have always wanted to be able to help others, and in high school I found that love from volunteering at the hospital. At the hospital I see so many people that one day I could possibly help and it drives me. My family could never afford for me to go to school so I knew that I had to fight for everything I do. This scholarship could give me an opportunity to make my family proud. Most of my cousins didn’t go to college. Without money for school I won’t be able to go after my dream. Being a doctor would mean the world to me. We used to leave it Memphis until recently last year. This scholarship would allow my parents to be debt free and stress free. My brother now can not afford to go to back to college to pursue his career in dentistry. This scholarship would allow me continue my dream in being a pediatric cardiologist.
