  • Scholarship Description
  • Eastern Michigan University awards millions of dollars in academic scholarships each year. Most will be awarded to students who participate in our annual Presidential Scholarship Competition. High school students will participate in the Presidential Scholarship Competition in December.

    Qualified students will be competing for a chance to receive our largest academic award: a four-year, full-ride Presidential Scholarship, valued at approximately $69,500 over four years. Traditionally, 16-20 Presidential scholarships are awarded each year.

    Eligibility:
    -Must have a cumulative 3.5 GPA
    -Must have a composite 25 ACT score or have scored 1200 on the SAT
    -Students attending a school that does not weight grades for honors or AP/IB courses will have their transcripts reviewed and recalculated, if necessary
    -Must be officially admitted with all documents submitted to Eastern Michigan University by November 18th

    The priority registration deadline for all test dates is one week prior to the event date. The event dates are:
    August 11
    November 5
    November 12
