• If you're a new student, you'll be considered for scholarships at your time of admission. If you're a current student, you'll need to use the annual University Scholarship Application to apply each January if you have an EMU GPA at the end of winter semester. You you will find enrollment and renewal requirements for first-year scholarships.   Eastern Michigan University awards the Presidential Scholarship to incoming freshmen as a four-year, full-ride award. Eligible applicants must have an SAT of 1200 or an ACT of 25, a 3.5 GPA, be officially admitted to EMU, and visit the campus on or after January 1. Presidential Scholars are active and engaged members of The Honors College at EMU, complementing their academic college experience with further opportunities for critical thinking, community engagement, and leadership.
