  • Scholarship Description
  • NESA academic scholarships are awarded to Eagle Scouts based on school and Scouting participation, academic performance, and financial need. All applicants must meet a minimum SAT or ACT score and apply in their senior year of high school if the board of review is held on or before October 31. Exception: Eagle Scouts who are currently in their senior year of high school and will not pass the board of review by October 31 may apply during the next scholarship cycle between August 1-October 31 of the following year, even though they may be attending college at that time. I just graduated high school and I had my board of review before graduating. I am assuming that means that I am not eligible for the scholarship?

The deadline for these scholarships are October 31, not December 31. However, if your eagle board of review is after October 31 of your senior year, you may apply for next year's scholarships.

Supreme Court Rules for Professor in Viral Blog Case

The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled Friday that Marquette University wrongfully suspended a political science professor after he criticized a graduate student over a discussion on gay marriage.
