  • Scholarship Description
  • The purpose of the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) is to provide supplemental financial assistance to those single parents living in Arkansas who are pursuing a course of instruction that will improve their income-earning potential. Guidelines for the manner in which the scholarship may be used are at the discretion of each scholarship provider.

    Eligibility:
    -Be a single parent living in Arkansas
    -Considered economically disadvantaged
    -Custodial care of one or more children under the age of 18
    -Do not have a diploma or degree from a four-year institution of higher learning

    Other guidelines vary from county to county and may include only approved programs of study, approved schools, income level, marital status, grade point average, and eligibility for federal financial aid. Contact the Single Parent Scholarship Fund in your county to learn more. Residents of Bowie County Texas are eligible under Miller County Arkansas.
