  • Scholarship Description
  • The Katherine H. Anderson Scholarship Fund was established within the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin as a part of her estate following her death in 2008. Earnings from the fund are distributed annually in the form of scholarships to graduating seniors from high schools in the Wausau Area School District (Wausau East, Wausau West, and Newman Catholic High Schools).

    Selection Guidelines:
    -Graduating high school senior from the Wausau Area School District (including Wausau East, Wausau West, and Newman Catholic High Schools)
    -Planning to pursue a college education in any field of study
    -The student must be in the lower 90% of their graduating class, based on their class rank and grade point average
    -Demonstrate an appreciation for Wausau, Wisconsin and its way of life
    -Demonstrate good citizenship qualities through volunteerism and extracurricular activities
    -Demonstrate the ability to succeed in college

    To apply for consideration, students are requested to submit the general application to the
    Scholarship Selection Committee at Wausau East, Wausau West, or Newman Catholic High Schools.
