  • Scholarship Description
  • SIM Chicago has established a scholarship program to assist current college undergraduates who plan to continue their education in a four-year college or university in the Chicago area. Renewable scholarships are offered for one additional year for full-time study at an accredited institution in the Chicago area.

    Eligibility:
    -Be a current post-secondary undergraduate entering their junior year
    -Be enrolled in full-time undergraduate or graduate technology or computer science study at an accredited four-year college or university in the Chicago area for the entire academic year
    -Have a minimum GPA of 3.0, both cumulative and for major area of study

    If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award. Up to two awards will be granted each year. Awards may be renewed for one additional year or until a bachelor's degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of:

    -Satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative and major area of study grade point average of 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent)
    -Continued full-time enrollment in a technology or computer science program in a Chicago area college or university (changing schools between academic year is acceptable)

    Awards are for undergraduate or graduate study only.
