  • Scholarship Description
  • The State of Tennessee has created an Academic Scholars Program to be administered by the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) for qualified applicants to attend post-secondary institutions in Tennessee in pursuit of an associate or baccalaureate degree. The scholarship will be awarded to assist in the cost of required tuition, fees, equipment, textbooks, supplies, and if applicable, room and board at the institution.

    Eligibility:
    -Must be a resident of Tennessee
    -Must be a U.S. citizen
    -Be a full-time student at an eligible Tennessee college/university
    -Minimum 3.5 GPA
    -Minimum 29 ACT composite or concordant equivalent score on the SAT
    -Provide transcripts
    -Scholarship is renewable up to three years, students must be full-time and maintain at least a 3.2 remain eligible

After calling the toll free number listed on the website, I was told the application is not available until Jan 1st. This is not stated anywhere on the site, so I wasted a lot of time trying to get my login to work, but was told it will not work until that date.
