  • Scholarship Description
  • Scholarship details:
    -Provides 100 percent tuition to Ohio National Guard members attending a two- or four- year public college or university
    -Participants must commit to and/or complete a six-year enlistment in the Ohio National Guard. New enlistees must complete basic training and obtain a military job skill to qualify for a scholarship
    -Scholarship program recipients must maintain good attendance at their unit drills; excessive absenteeism is cause for discharge from the Ohio National Guard. In such cases, Ohio law provides for recoupment of a pro-rated amount of the tuition paid plus interest
    -Minimum enrollment for ONGSP participants is 3 credits
    -If Soldier has been mobilized, ONGSP can be used for up to 5 years after discharge, up to the number of months deployed (as long as units of eligibility remain)

    Deadlines:
    -Spring Quarter: February 1
    -Fall Term: July 1
    -Summer Term: April 1
    Winter Quarter: November 1
    -Spring Semester: November 1
