The Black Community Scholarship Fund supports African-American students in the greater Kansas City area who are pursuing higher education or career advancement. This scholarship is open to high school seniors, current college students, and adults enrolled in accredited degree or certification programs at two- or four-year colleges and nonprofit technical schools. Priority consideration is given to students pursuing degrees in Healthcare, Education, Youth Development, Liberal and Performing Arts, or STEM fields.

- Renewable with a minimum 2.0 GPA

- Must be an African-American student residing in the greater Kansas City area
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or nonprofit technical school
- Consideration based on academic and civic performance, community service, and essay quality
Application Process
- Complete the Black Community Scholarship Fund application.
- Submit an essay outlining your academic and career goals.
- Provide documentation of academic achievement and community service involvement.
- If selected, commit to completing 16 hours of community service within the year.
