This scholarship was established to honor the life of Craig D. Butler and to continue his legacy of integrity, generosity and service. CDB Scholarship aims to aid young adults from under-served populations to pursue higher education. Each year, we will seek future high school graduates to offer financial support as they pursue their dreams in the aftermath of gun violence.
Scholarship Details
- A one-time award of $1,000
- Merit-based competition open annually
- Focuses on students from underserved populations affected by gun violence
- Award recipient selected in April each year
Eligibility Criteria
- Residency in Pennsylvania or attendance at a Pennsylvania High School
- Of African American descent
- Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Entering a two or four-year college/university or an accredited vocational-technical school as a full-time freshman in the fall
Application Process
- Ensure you meet all eligibility criteria
- Complete and submit the scholarship application along with all required documents
- Await notification of selection in April
