  • Scholarship Description
  • The Mark Collier Caudill Scholarship was established by Virginia Whichard Caudill in 2010 to honor her husband on his birthday and to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors from R.J. Reynolds High School. The scholarship may provide a non-renewable award for a minority male student-athlete who will attend an accredited four-year college or university in pursuit of a degree. Scholarships will be applied to the cost of undergraduate tuition, fees, room and board, and other college expenses.

    To receive consideration, applicants must:
    -Be graduating high school seniors at R.J. Reynolds High School
    -Be minority males who have participated in high school athletics
    -Be pursuing a degree from an accredited four-year college or university
    -Have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.75 and a transcript reflecting a challenging course selection
    -Demonstrate character, leadership and a commitment to school and community service
    -Demonstrate good sportsmanship and participation in athletics
    -Demonstrate financial need, but not restricted to lower incomes (student's merit will be considered to a greater degree)
