Cypress Creek Renewables is proud to launch the Energizing Tomorrow's Leaders Scholarship program! Scholarships are being granted to students in seven counties in seven states across the USA. We are committed to making an impact in the communities in which we develop and operate our solar projects, and new counties will be announced each year. Awardees of the scholarship program will each receive a $1,000, one-year, non-renewable scholarship to use for tuition, housing, or books/materials needed for their program of study. Our goal is to help young people be successful and learn more about exciting opportunities in the growing field of solar and renewable energy and STEM-related fields.
Scholarship Details
- Total scholarship fund to be as much as $135,000
- Individual award amount of $1,000
- Non-renewable, one-year scholarship
- Intended for tuition, housing, or books/materials
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduating high school seniors attending schools within eligible counties
- Open to students pursuing 4-year, 2-year, or certificate programs at accredited institutions
- Preference for students interested in renewable energy or STEM fields
- Eligible for students in public, charter, private schools, or home-schooled
Application Process
- Verify eligibility based on your high school location and intended field of study.
- Prepare the required documents, including proof of enrollment, transcripts showing a minimum GPA, and letters of recommendation.
- Create and submit a personal statement focused on your interest in renewable energy or a STEM-related field.
- Produce and submit a creative video that outlines your passion and goals within the renewable energy sector or STEM fields.
- Submit your complete application package by the specified deadline.
Selection Criteria
- Academic, athletic, leadership involvement
- Awards and recognitions
- Quality of Personal Statement, with a preference for renewable energy or STEM interests
- Creativity and quality of a required video
All applications shall be reviewed by a committee comprised of Cypress Creek Renewables staff members. Recipients will be presented with the scholarship at their high school senior awards program, via mail, or at a school or community event mutually agreed upon by both parties.
