  • Scholarship Description
  • The purpose of the high school seniors English essay contest is to promote effective writing by, about, and/or for queer youth. The theme of the competition is pink ink: "We write not only about different things; we also write differently". The contest is open only to students aged 18 and under who have not yet graduated from high school. You must affirm that you are not a high school graduate (as of the date you submit your essay). You must affirm that the essay you submit has not been submitted elsewhere. Essays should be 3-5 pages long, 10 pages max. If you're pro-LGBTQ+ this is an option, as long as you're a HS senior... I guess there was a little mishap in your sorting.

I'm not a high school senior. I'm an adult, going to college for the first time and that's why I'm a college freshmen. I'm also not gay. Why did it pick this scholarship for me?

Wiccan Prof Sues Catholic University Over Alleged Discrimination

A Wiccan Professor at St. Bonaventure sued the university and her alma mater for discrimination, alleging that she was not allowed to advance in her career because she is a woman and a witch.
