  • Scholarship Description
  • SPWP provides scholarships to Houston-area high school seniors entering a Texas college. This scholarship promotes young women in need of financial aid. Our scholarship fund is a direct result of our member's dedication to promoting education. Applicants must write a 500-word essay to one of the three provided essay topics.

    Eligibility:
    -Applicants must be female high school seniors in the Houston area (within a 55-mile radius of Downtown Houston)
    -Applicants must plan to attend a Texas college or university - if an applicant changes her mind and attends an out of state school, all scholarship money will be rescinded
    -Applicants must be available for an in-person interview in Houston on April 22nd
    -Applicants must be U.S. citizens or documented permanent residents of the U.S.
    -Applicants must not already have full scholarships or grants for tuition
