To be eligible for the Ike Foundation Scholarship, applicants must: be a high school senior; be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen; be planning to enroll in a two or four-year college or university as a full time, degree-seeking student; demonstrate volunteer commitment of time to support the community, preferably fishing/conservation-related; and have a 3.2 GPA. In addition to completing the application, applicants must also submit a recommendation letter, show written acceptance from their selected college and upload an essay on a given topic.
The Foundation’s Scholarship Committee reviews all applications and makes the final award. Scholarship awards must be applied to tuition, fees, supplies, books, or equipment. To date, we have awarded $62,500.00 in Scholarship and a total of 24 students since inception. This assists graduating seniors with their tuition and other expenses in pursuit of a 2 or 4-year degree from a college or university.
