You will be entered once for registering and completing a valid user profile at Scholarships.com. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible profiles received. Entries generated by automated devices are void. All entries become the property of Scholarships.com, LLC. Any attempt to damage the Scholarships.com website or undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws. In the event of such an attempt being made, Scholarships.com reserves the right to prosecute violators to the fullest extent allowable by law.
The Scholarships.com's Register and Win $500 Contest is open to all U.S. citizens.
One (1) winner of $500 will be selected at random from new monthly registrants. All federal, state and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted, except at the discretion of Scholarships.com. If the winner chooses not to accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited and no alternate winner will be selected. If an eligible individual under 18 years of age is selected as the winner, his/her parent or legal guardian will be required to give authorization with an electronic affidavit. The prize check will be issued in the winner's name.
Winners will be selected on a monthly basis from all eligible profiles. The winners will be notified via phone, email and/or social media. If Scholarships.com does not receive a reply to the winner notification announcement sent by email, phone, or social media, or if any potential winner fails to respond to the prize notification within fourteen (14) days of issuance of notification, the prize will be forfeited and no alternate winner will be selected. Unless prohibited by law, the winner will be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and a publicity/liability release within seven (7) days of responding to the notification. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use the winners' names, cities, states, likenesses and/or voices for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity without additional compensation. Prize award materials and information will be sent to the winners after all required proof and documentation is received.
Scholarships.com reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the sweepstakes should viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Scholarships.com compromise the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this sweepstakes.
Scholarships.com is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, technical error or human error which may occur in the processing of entries and submissions. Scholarships.com assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or alteration of entries. Scholarships.com reserves the rights to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the scholarship, in whole or in part, at any time.
By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Scholarships.com, which shall be final. All applicable federal, provincial, state and local laws and regulations apply.
Except where prohibited by law, participation constitutes the winners' consent to Scholarships.com's use of their names, cities and states of residence and entries for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes in any media, online or offline, without further permission, consent, payment or other consideration, unless prohibited by law. If, for any reason, the promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, Scholarships.com reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and to award the grand prize from among all eligible entries received prior to the date of termination.
