Scholarship Winners

The Resolve to Evolve Scholarship is about more than just making resolutions—it’s about making suggestions for change and furthering our own evolution. The idea behind the "R2E" annual essay scholarship is to urge young people to offer workable solutions to problems facing the country, whether that’s the state of higher education today or the current administration’s tasks for the future, rather than pointing fingers or finding fault with a given administration or organization. The winners receive a $1,000 college scholarship, but also have their essays forwarded to officials who have the power to potentially act upon the winning essays' suggestions.

The R2E scholarship consists of three parts: an essay answering one of two questions, a shorter, more informal response that demonstrates why attending college is important to you and a brief outline of your academic and career goals, and a reference letter that specifically addresses your potential and provides support for your receipt of scholarship assistance. Applicants must be a currently enrolled in high school and between the ages 13 and 19 at the time the prize is awarded. Proof of enrollment, such as an official/unofficial transcript, printout of courses, or a letter of enrollment or admittance from your high school is required as part of your application. Visit our site for more specifics on criteria determining your eligibility for the award.

Our R2E winners have plausible ideas for tough issues rather than looking to displace blame for the world's ills. We'd like to introduce you to the applicants we felt had essays that were not only well-crafted, but were thoughtful and persuasive in addressing the topics at hand.
