  • Scholarship Description
  • The Dell Scholars Program places greater emphasis on a student's determination to succeed than just academic record and test scores. We reward low-income, highly motivated students who are better than their numbers indicate and demonstrate the drive to succeed despite personal obstacles. Students must participate in a Michael & Susan Dell Foundation approved college readiness program in grades 11 and 12, graduate from an accredited high school this academic year and earn a minimum 2.4 GPA. Students must also demonstrate financial need, be eligible to receive a Federal Pell grant in their first year of college and plan to enroll full-time in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited higher education institution in the fall directly after graduation from high school. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.

College tuition is expensive and often prevents students from getting the college education they want. These expenses are often the toughest on parents, and I just don't want my parents to be stressed out because of financial needs. I would really appreciate it if you would consider me for this scholarship.

I have never applied for this scholarship before. I have started looking for scholarships offering me the opportunity to get money to pay for college. I don't want to have student loan debt when I leave college. Scholarships and grants are my only means of that. Unfortunately, no one can really help me pay for college so I will apply to every scholarship I can. That is why I am applying to this one. Because of the opportunity it presents me. With this, I can go to college and achieve my dream of becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
