Cali S  on 11/19/2020 11:11:37 AM

I applied for this scholarship to help pay for my future college expenses. My single mom of 4 does all she can to provide for us but she just can't help with college funds.

Dawson N  on 11/2/2020 2:19:34 PM

I applied for this scholarship to help with funding for my college. My parents work very hard to give me all they can so if I can help out it would be great.

Tiffany b  on 10/30/2020 3:46:40 PM

I am a sophomore in high school and I´m starting to apply for scholarships because I know I will not be able to afford college in the future. I already have my future planned, I just need the money to pursue it!

DeMarcus J  on 10/24/2020 3:07:32 PM

I applied for this scholarship so that it would help ease the burden for obtaining an higher education. The last thing I want my so to worry about while pursuing an education is how we will pay for things he will need while in school.

Aniyah Alexander  on 10/23/2020 11:18:15 AM

I’m applying for this scholarship to help me pay for college to get my degree in counseling psychology at Wayne State.

Lucia R.  on 10/21/2020 5:18:49 PM

I applied to this scholarship not only to earn the possibility to win this scholarship but also to inform many communities about the school I come from. I am proud of where I attend school as I am also proud of saying that winning this scholarship would help not only me, but also my parents. Coming from a middle-class Hispanic family and being one out of four children, I want to earn as many scholarships as possible to be less of a worry to my hardworking parents. This scholarship would be a step forward for me when I finally graduate and advance to s community college, where I hope to join the DMS program (Diagnostic Medical Sonography).

Melanie M  on 10/16/2020 11:45:46 AM

Samuel P  on 10/13/2020 11:48:56 AM

Hi, I applied for this wonderful scholarship in hopes that I can go to my top college and major in either conservation biology or atmospheric science. This scholarship will largely help me while I continue my life with becoming a freshman in college. I would greatly appreciate if I was selected to be a recipient of this scholarship. Also, I wanted to recognize my school that creates great leaders who are prepared for anything ahead of them. Thank You so much.

Val Ryan  on 10/11/2020 7:36:35 AM

I wanted to apply for scholarship overseas but due to limited funds, I cannot pursue my dream. I hope this will give me the big leap to achieve my dream and giving a bright future for my family.

Lesly P  on 10/8/2020 4:00:06 PM

I applied to for this scholarship because I want to be able to pay for my college expenses without having to stress my parents about where the money is going to come ffrom. Especially with the virus going around both of them are currently not working and it's already hard enough on them.

Christopher S  on 10/3/2020 2:22:58 PM

I just applied for this scholarship in the hopes that it will help ease off the financial burden of college. My goal is to major in biology and later apply medical school so this will be helpful if I am selected.

Abi S  on 10/3/2020 1:55:36 PM

Being the oldest in a family of four in a single parent household doesn't leave many funds left over for anything, let alone anything substantial for college. Although I am starting early, I applied for this scholarship because I will need the money to further my education. I want to be a high school librarian, and needing a masters for said degree is a pretty penny.

William C.  on 10/2/2020 10:10:35 AM

I am applying for this scholarship to help pay for college. I have been applying for everything I can to get help. Any help will help me financially pay and get me through medical school.

Giselle R.  on 9/28/2020 8:07:14 PM

I applied for the survey sweepstake because I wanted to have a chance to win the scholarship since I am going to have to provide the money for college my parents are older and have been working tirelessly for me but I know that if I want a higher education I'm going to have to provided it for myself.

Ashanti L  on 9/22/2020 5:29:52 PM

I have applied for this scholarship. My reason for applying is so I can pay my college tuition and don't have to worry about not getting it paid. I am the first out of my family to actually go to college, I am a older sister of five and I'm trying to show them if they wanna go to college you can do it. Also, I feel as if it is a good idea to fill out for grants and scholarships to help you out.

Macy S  on 9/15/2020 7:42:54 PM

I applied for this scholarship, because I want my mom to be able to retire when I have to go to college, instead of putting it towards an expensive college. This is also to make my mom proud because she will see that I can actually do stuff on my own.

Isis B  on 9/13/2020 11:34:17 AM

I applied for this scholarship to be able to help me with my schooling. I was told that it was very important to apply for grants and scholarships so I'm trying my best to apply to as many as I can before I go off to school.

Lorena Lopez  on 9/11/2020 9:26:02 PM

Genesis B  on 9/3/2020 9:47:54 PM

I applied or this scholarship to help pay for nursing school, books, room and board. I am a big sister for two younger sisters, and the first kid to go off to college.

Brittany Azie  on 8/29/2020 9:22:31 AM

Although I am 13 years old, I applied for this scholarship because I know that the amount of expenses and costs it takes to go to college is a lot. My parents have always been working as hard as they could to give me a good life. I'm not rich or anything, so I'd like to help with what it costs. It's been my dream to go to an ivy league and with that comes a lot of money to spend.

Krssiah E.  on 8/28/2020 2:28:33 PM

I applied or this scholarship to help pay for nursing school, books, room and board. I am a international student with only 1 university in my country (really expensive) and will have to travel abroad for college.

Alina L  on 8/28/2020 3:50:08 AM

Hey there! I applied for this scholarship because I am currently transferring to a University and I am very excited to major in business. Unfortunately, paying for my education is a financial struggle for me. I moved here from Russia at the age of 9 with my mother, but few years later she moved back to Russia leaving me on my own. I provide for myself financially and am all alone in a different country from my family. My family there does not earn enough to help me out here, so all I got is myself. I work two jobs and attend school full time. Getting this scholarship would get me one step closer to getting the education that I aspire to get and help me reach my goals.

Jocelyn P  on 8/27/2020 3:17:29 PM

I applied for this scholarship because I have had the opportunity to be attending my dream school for the next four years and the tuition was higher than what I was expecting. Gaining this scholarship will allow me to dwindle down my costs and help out with my financial issues immensely.

Kelsie C.  on 8/26/2020 11:55:17 AM

I applied for this scholarship because I am completely on my own financially. My father isn't in the picture, and even though my mother has the means to help me she refuses to because I left home to pursue my education. My grades aren't the best but it's because I've been focused on making sure I have a place to live, can pay my bills, and afford tuition on my own. This scholarship would go a long way for me, especially during this COVID-19 crisis.

Noemi T  on 8/24/2020 8:59:05 PM

I applied for this scholarship because I only have my single mom to help pay for my tuition. I feel guilty having her pay for my tuition. I'm not her youngest child and I try to help as much as I can but I can only do so much. I hope that even this 1000$ scholarship can help me.

Zorana Ngai  on 8/24/2020 4:47:07 PM

Yes, I applied for my daughter who started distance learning this semester. Our family has had to get a lot of resources to make sure learning from home was possibly here in Southern California and anything to help with those materials and resources make such a big difference for us. Thank you!

D.U  on 8/24/2020 4:23:15 PM

For me, this scholarship grants me independence. It shows that I have the willingness to put myself out there and not only depend on my family to pay for my expenses. I have always been driven to prove myself to others. On the first day in my final year at primary school, my classmate, who was a transfer, asked me why i was there and I said to learn. They then told me are you not just going to grow up and become a basketball player. I asked them how they came to that conclusion, and they said well "you're tall, and black". When they said that I just stared at them for a good 30 seconds and proceeded to walk away. On that day I swore that I would rise to the top of the academic chain in my school and prove to them that not only myself, but other people of color, will not only will indulge themselves in a career related to sports, or physically related, but they also have a range a career choices related to them utilizing their brain. And at the end of the school year I was declared Valedictorian. I want to use this scholarship to go on and prove that not only am I an independent person who does not depend wholly on my parents, I want to prove that I am able to pursue a career in which I not only utilize my physical abilities, but also my mental abilities.

Yahaddy T  on 8/23/2020 11:30:55 PM

Growing up with an immigrant mother that has to do everything herself with no help makes me want to succeed in life, so I could give her everything that she wants in life. Working 2 to 3 jobs makes it so hard for me to see her sometimes, and I don't like how much stress she has going on, and she's always praying that I will get in college, and have the career I want, even if it costs her, her last penny. Making barely enough to pay the bills, I really pray that I win this scholarship.

Walaa A.  on 8/22/2020 6:20:47 PM

I applied for this scholarship because I am a hardworking student, who challenges herself and tries her best to maintain good grades, and has been doing so. I've been learning since middle school in English, my second language, and have overcome lots of language barriers to achieve the rank I have. My family will not be able to financially support my college, and I'll be the first to attend college in the US from my whole family. I need all the help I can in order to achieve the higher level of education I desire to secure my future. My family is of 5, and we have been here all together since 2014, my father since 2013, and both my parents have yet to receive a full time job. If I don't get the coverage, I will most likely have to go back to study in the University of Damascus in Syria, my mother country, and that would be detrimental to my future and safety.

Cassandra Crostwhaytt  on 8/21/2020 8:33:11 PM

Hello, I applied for this scholarship recently because in the midst of this global pandemic, my family is struggling to gather enough money to pay for bills and rent, let alone my college schooling. It would be amazing to get this scholarship as all my needs can help be covered.

Torri M.  on 8/19/2020 10:45:56 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I have never done this before. I am excited because of helping my parents is the least I can do with all the is happening in the world. Economic conditions are hard for everyone and if I can help me parent help me that would be a blessing.

I have been under a funk lately and felt like turning myself around. Being a young, black student, you do not necessarily have much time to "sit around" and do nothing. I highly recommend anyone to take this scholarship and heighten your chances of being funded for college. You deserve to keep trying to better your future even when you are in a "funk", so that your future is still on the right track. Every scholarship you earn adds up, so why not add this one onto your list of potential sholarships?

Ailyn Tena Magallanes  on 8/17/2020 11:46:03 PM

I applying to this scholarship would help a lot on the money. Were I live, is a very small town, we hardly get any good money here. At the moment, my father is the only one that works and tries to get the best for us. I did apply to a job, but I still haven't got a phone call or an interview. If getting the opportunity in winning the scholarship, I would be able to keep trying to achieve my dreams in to becoming a child counselor. I am currently a high school junior in Hereford, Texas.

Nia S.  on 8/17/2020 1:54:00 PM

I have decided to apply for this scholarship praticuarly, because coming from an minority home things such as college and even the fundings for college could tend to get tough. This scholorship would help me, and my family as well so that they do not have to come out of their pockets and burden them.

Karla H  on 8/12/2020 11:43:57 PM

I applied to scholarship to help better my future toward my college career. I am so glad to know their are people out there willing to help others financially in order to achieve their goals, Thank you for the opportunity!

Malaysia Scott  on 8/10/2020 10:01:56 PM

Denham Springs High School is a public school located in a small, rural town. Its a town where kids go fishing and hunting for fun. Being a black teen in a predominately white school is quite the struggle. You don't quite fit in with the crowd, you stand out like a red stain on a white shirt. I grew up in a middle class family in a suburban neighborhood, we weren't poor but we weren't rich either. I had everything i needed in life like a house, car, clothes, food, etc. However i only got new shoes at the beginning of every school year, and shared an old dell computer to do homework with my family of 5. I still share a room with my 7 year old brother and a bed too. My parents divorcing in the middle of my 8th grade year didn't help the financial situation neither. Basically what im trying to say is that i want to overcome my humble beginnings. I want to be the first kid to be able to say that i made it, i graduated college, i put in all the hard work to become successful in life. I'm not a failure. And by winning this scholarship its just the first step to achieving that goal.

Anteia H  on 8/10/2020 5:30:55 PM

I comply for this scholarship in hopes to be able to get into the college I want ad to help my mother. My parent is a single mother with 5 kids of her own. I learned from her determine and that hard work can get you anywhere. I look up to her and want to refull her dreams of seeing me achieve anything.

 on 8/9/2020 1:19:16 AM

I applied for this scholarship to try and help myself financially for school. I'm still pretty young , only 14, but I've known my whole life that my parents would not be able to just pay for my whole college experience like some peoples parents do. I come from a financially challenged family, and I'm applying to as many of these scholarships as I can so that my parents do not have to worry about my education and if ill be able to have one or not. It would mean the world to me if this was my first scholarship that I won ever, i'd be able to show my parents that i'm doing what i need to do to set myself up for the right future. I hope whoever gets the scholarship is now one step closer to their dream.

Kaelynn B  on 8/7/2020 11:09:54 PM

Getting this scholarship would mean the world to me. My mom is in nursing school herself and my parents are divorced so they don't really have the money to completely support me throughout my college years. I'm just really hoping to be able to receive this because I want to be able to achieve my goal of becoming a clinical psychologist, but without going to college and getting the necessary degrees I won't be able to pursue what I'm passionate about.

JP  on 8/7/2020 12:15:58 AM

I applied so I can relieve the financial burden. Therefore, allowing me to me delegate more time for school.

Chloe P  on 8/6/2020 10:19:55 PM

I applied for this scholarship. This scholarship will help me fulfill my career of choice at the university of my dreams! Praying I receive this scholarship.

Haley M  on 8/3/2020 9:53:34 PM

As a student who wants to go to school to become a nurse practitioner this scholarship would help me pay for my schooling to focus solely on school instead of the debt that comes with it.

Kyla H  on 8/1/2020 1:01:40 PM

I am applying for this scholarship to help begin my college journey. I am thinking about going out of state for school, which means that my tuition will cost more. This scholarship will help me with my financial needs, and to help pay for my textbooks. I have always worked hard for good grades, while balancing a social life, and two jobs. This scholarship would also help me get the higher education that I desire to have. I hope you consider me for this scholarship.

Emily E  on 7/29/2020 10:10:14 AM

I applied for this scholarship to help me in my academic career. Currently I am a High School student but I am taking all college classes in order to graduate with my Associates and High School diploma, so this scholarship would be a huge blessing for my family as it will take a huge load/burden off their shoulders. I pray and hope that everyone will have a great chance at winning. God Bless.

Hannah G  on 7/7/2020 9:30:10 AM

I was thrilled by this opportunity for students to give first-hand insight on the state of schools around the country. The information gathered will be incredibly useful for future generations, and I am happy to be a part of that! Thank you for offering this generous scholarship opportunity; I am very happy to have participated.

safia Elm  on 7/4/2020 9:56:15 PM

i just got accepted in a nursing program,it is a dream comes true. I worked so hard for the past two years to finish my prerequisites with a perfect GPA. i really can't afford to pay for this college and I hope i will get some help

Lilian A.  on 7/2/2020 9:38:38 PM

There need to be more scholarships like this. I don't really have the time to fill out essays every day, and I'm going to college soon with no money at my disposal. I need short survey scholarships to fill out.

M.V  on 6/29/2020 7:21:53 PM

receiving this scholarship will allow me to further my education, help my parents and become the amazing professional I dream to be. Not only would the money allow me to further my educational future, this monetary help will relive some of the stress that has already started to build. I come from a low income Hispanic home, university has always been a far reach dream. I have worked hard in my school and part time jobs and currently my only obstacle is money. Receiving this scholarship will be the pathway to a successful for myself and my future family.

Phaedra W  on 6/29/2020 7:57:26 AM

I’m applying for this because I had to drop out of my Master’s program due to health issues. I was then diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. Now that I’ve learned to manage my health, I want to return and complete my degree.

Katherine Z  on 6/24/2020 3:03:36 PM

I applied for this scholarship because I am starting college this August! I’m so excited but always concerned when it comes to money. Because of the pandemic I lost my job and haven’t been able to make any money. All the money I was making was going to be put towards paying for college. Anything helps!

Vani S.  on 6/20/2020 8:35:12 PM

One of the most prominent issues that has been raised in America in the past decade or so is gender equality and closing the gender wage gap. While the focus has been raised in many professions, I believe the answers lie in the heart of medicine. Specifically, in surgery. According to the Association of American Medical Colleges, as of 2017, women make up less than one-quarter of the 10 main surgical specialities. With this scholarship, I could continue on my career path to become a female surgeon and provide medical services to underserved, rural, and poor communities. I want to complete my undergraduate degree and attend medical school to help people be the best versions of themselves without illnesses being an impediment. Perhaps more than that, I want to help avoid catastrophic medical expenses for those who truly need it. All in all, I am grateful to be considered for this scholarship opportunity, and if I should receive it, I will use it to advance my education and attain my goal of being a surgeon!

Ikaia M  on 6/20/2020 5:42:03 PM

Wooooooo! Omg!! I’m finally about to be an adult! I’m thrilled to be soon classified as an college student however- it cost! I’m 15, an early graduate from high school, GPA above a 4.0 with DE classes and AP. I help around the community with this nonprofit group at my Church. If I win this scholarship it will not only help me out but my city. I want to major in computer science at Geogia Tech however I don’t have the funds to do so. Sadly, my parents debt is so high that they can’t help none of my siblings get into colleges...or me. I had to work everyday and every minute of the day to get the scores I make. To show how I’ll keep this thrive once I relieve the funds from scholarships to colleges. I’m determine and focused! I will make my city more advance and help other kids in need internet and coding for futuristic apps for all! Technology will be the future and I’ll want to make it affordable and available to everyone!! Thank you and Good luck to all!!

cristina l.  on 6/16/2020 11:14:55 PM

I applied for this scholarship because this would mean a lot to me. Being this young girl who wants to go to Yale it would really help me with the money. For the past year I have been getting good grades just to try to get in Yale. I really need this because I cant afford to go to Yale and it has always been my dream to go to Yale and become a lawyer. I haven't really had a lot of money so it would really mean a lot to get this money to go to my dream school.

Brea R  on 6/16/2020 2:37:05 PM

This scholarship would mean the world to me. I went thru a bit of a rough patch and im trying to get my life back on track. I have four children. My oldest is eight, a five year old, two year old, and four month old. I have no help from my parents. But i want to do better for my children

Victoria T.  on 6/15/2020 4:20:10 PM

This scholarship will give me hope that I am one step closer to having the opportunity of achieving my dream. It will have a big impact on my future.

Yajaira Miranda  on 6/13/2020 10:31:33 PM

I applied to this scholarship in hopes to just attend college. My family is not doing well financially and they just cant afford it. I am afraid ill have to stay behind and not go to college at all because i dont have a way to pay for it. I am doing everything I can to do this on my own and do absolutely everything there is to do to find a way to get there. I know winning this scholarship is all based on luck and I dont have the best experience with luck but I do hope this scholarship goes to someone who knows to appreciate it and deserves it,

Karla Juarez  on 6/13/2020 4:13:41 AM

I applied for this scholarship because I wish to become a Obstetrics and Gynecology doctor in the future and I know that becoming a doctor comes with a lot of student debt. I truly hope become a doctor, nothing would make me happier than to help women and help women deliver they're beautiful child into this world.

naomi c  on 6/10/2020 4:55:34 PM

This scholarship would mean that I am starting my journey to getting my dreams to be educated with a degree.

Olivia H.  on 6/9/2020 12:55:19 PM

I applied for this scholarship because I plan to go to a university that has an amazing pre-med program, but costs an exorbitant amount of money. I would be the first person in my family to go for a post-graduate degree and without this scholarship, the cost may outweigh the benefits of the program. I come from a small family from the mid-west, so if my parents could see that I was chosen for this scholarship, I think they would truly see that becoming a doctor could be a more financially-stable reality. I have worked hard my entire life for my grades, so I hope my hard work pays off.

Ayonna G.  on 6/8/2020 4:30:18 PM

I applied for this scholarship because honestly there aren't any other scholarships that fit me as a person. I am starting to feel that I could have done a lot more during high school to reach my potential. So, if I win this scholarship I will be thrilled with joy, but if I don't win, I will still be proud that I took the initiative to apply for this scholarship. I always thought I did everything right in school, but I guess I only did enough to pass by.

ChristopherM  on 6/8/2020 9:04:26 AM

I am an upcoming freshman attending a private university. My all time dream is to play football in the NFL. I have been playing since the age of 5. I am dedicated to my craft and really work hard to learn and play the game. During my highschool career there were a few coaches following me. I left my public school and attended a private school with the intent of increasing my GPA, SAT and ACT, I did. Our football coach was fired false communication and paying for promising to pay tuition for one of the players. As a result I do believe I was blackballed along with many other players from our team. All of the coaches who were offering scholarships ceased communication. I will be majoring in Sports Management/Communication. I am in need of additional funding for college so that I do not have to take out loans and owe so much money when I finish. My mother is a 25 year educator who still can not seem to pay off student loans. As a young black man I do not want to begin my life in debt. Any type of assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Participating in this scholarship could benefit my business ideas to become successful as a 16-year-old sophomore and it benefits students my age feel confident in the school they may be willing to attend. This Survey Sweepstake scholarship offers 1,000 dollars that I could invest in a fashion business and use the profits to pay for my college expenses. As a woman of color who grew up with one hard working Mexican mom it would be a goal to help young teens feel confident in their clothes. This fashion business goal is very impactful in all ways, such as creating the ability to express through clothes which provides a unique sense of comfort to an individual's personality. Waking up in high school is so much more fun when I get to dress in colors and unique patterns that established confidence throughout my days. Maybe one day I will inspire the many others to convert their passions into businesses for the best of their own future education. -Thank you for your time Melanie Huerta

I applied for this scholarship in hopes that I will be able to go to a good college to further my academic career. I am going to be very successful one day so I would like to make my path easier such as applying for scholarships so that I can give back to my family and my community.

Chloie P.  on 6/5/2020 2:26:28 AM

I applied for this scholarship because I would like the opportunity to sculpt the best possible future for myself. I have worked extremely hard in high school. The past few years has been really difficult for my family but I managed to clear that from my mind in order to achieve good graded and secure a high GPA and class rank. Without the assistance of scholarships I will not be able to attend a university but instead attend my community college. Although there is nothing wrong with community college it would be heart-breaking for me because I put all my energy into high school hoping to later be rewarded for my dedication.

David Weiss  on 6/3/2020 10:18:08 PM

I’m applying for this scholarship to help me further my education. I’m trying to help take some of the burden of paying for college off of my parents. I want them to know that all the responsibility is not up to them. I would be very grateful for the scholarship if it was awarded to me.

Courtlyn W.  on 6/3/2020 2:40:40 PM

I am an upcoming senior in high school and preparation means everything to me. I am an African American female. Living in the United States as a person of color has its challenged already, the last thing I want to do it have student debt. Student debt would cause delay in my timeline of success. I hope you all will invest in me and my future.

Grace E  on 5/29/2020 8:19:08 PM

I am going to be a senior next year, and that scares me. As long as I can remember, I've been so excited to be independent and go off to college with a surefire plan for my future success. However, due to my family's financial situation, I am concerned that my dream college may no longer be an option. I'm grateful for opportunities like these that will hopefully allow me to pursue my future.

Atalie G  on 5/26/2020 6:53:03 PM

Yes I did apply for this scholarship. I did so because I want to get a good start on college, starting by being ready to pay for it. I feel that planning ahead is key to success. I would also be helping myself out in the future by getting one, or more, scholarships for college. With me being 13 years old, this will be a great experience on how to apply for scholarships and will help me in the future. In conclusion, saving up for college and getting scholarships earlier on in life will help me more when I need the money.

QG  on 5/26/2020 1:03:25 PM

I applied for this scholarship because im a teen mom who is sick of being counted out also I want to be the first person in my family to go to college and actually go for something I would love to do which is be a mortician. Also so i can show my daughter that there is more to life than just what were surrounded by.

Dyonna Rodas  on 5/26/2020 8:30:12 AM

When applying for scholarships I chose this one because my high school from the outside looking in isn't exactly a place people would rush to go. But I do think there are many good qualities that are overlooked. Also if I were to win the scholarship it would mean so much to me and my family. I have 3 brothers so thats 4 kids total for my parents and right now 3 of us are in college!

Sandra G  on 5/22/2020 11:01:09 AM

Going back to school after being an LVN for 13 years. Looking forward to becoming an RN. Would greatly appreciate the opportunity at this scholarship to help with any fees and or tuition or books. Thank you and good luck to all.

Megan J.  on 5/20/2020 12:31:18 PM

I applied for this scholarship because I don't want to owe as much for student loans after college. I have received some scholarships and grants from my school, but still need to come up with more money some how. Every little bit helps.

Courtney D.  on 5/18/2020 7:50:29 PM

Hi everyone that's reading this messages, my name is Courtney that is a senior this year. I'm applying for this scholarship because I want to have enough money for my college schooling. I'm studying Biology Pre-Med at Xavier, hopefully.

As a transgender student, I wish to enroll into a LGBTQ+ friendly campus. Meaning if I would have to travel across the whole US, it would allow me to be happier, and feel a lot more safe. Since currently the LGBTQ+ community isn't the safest, I wish to be able to uphold that the community will be more protected.

Samonie R  on 5/14/2020 6:14:54 PM

I applied for this scholarship because I come from an African American family who, frankly, can not afford to send me to college. I spend a lot of time scouring this website looking for scholarships because I know that if I do not find enough, I’m going to have to work for a while out of high school until I make enough to support myself while I attend college. My main goal is to make a difference, and I know that the first step that I need to take is attending a university.

Ivana J.  on 5/14/2020 11:09:33 AM

Any scholarship I win would help me tremendously to pay college tuition, almost all of which I shoulder by myself on a low income. I intend to graduate no matter what, and give back to the community. My only hope is that I won't have to take any breaks in education because of financial hardship. Corona has made an already difficult situation even harder because I lost my job.

Dayla R  on 5/12/2020 9:50:20 PM

This scholarship would help me because I am from a low-income family and every penny to pay for college helps. To win this 1,000 would mean 1,000 less of debt I will buy myself into for an education I have tried for four years to lessen as much as possible.

Reaiah Horner  on 5/7/2020 5:56:05 PM

I have been struggling in school because of personal reasons and it limited me to do my best, Because of my hard trials in school i wasnt offered a lot of money to pay for colleges, i really want to attend and pay for schooling because i know i can achieve so much and become the better more successful me. I have learned from my past mistakes and will strive for the best and this money will help me do so.

Nikki P.  on 5/6/2020 7:29:35 PM

This scholarship would help me tremendously in pursuing my dream career. I have a 3 and 7 years old daughters and have been a Stay-At-Home mom a little before my second daughter was born to focus on my school. I only want to become a great role model and don’t really ask much from others. Graduating is my own personal goal, as I’d also be one of the firsts in my family to graduate from college. Thank you for this opportunity!

Joselyn L  on 5/5/2020 8:56:50 AM

I applied for this scholarship because I am looking forward to starting my life and becoming a nurse. During this country's time of need it is clear there could always be more nurses. I know first hand how important a nurse can be to someone in need. I have Crohn's disease and my life has revolved around hospitals, Dr. offices and needles since I was 11 years old. I look forward to going to college to become a nurse to help my community and feel the need to give back for all the nurses who have helped me on my journey. This scholarship money would help me to reach my goal if I am chosen as the recipient.

Addison S  on 5/1/2020 11:44:51 PM

I applied to this scholarship for a few reasons. My father recently passed so now it's up to only my mom to pay for college for three kids. I am going to get my PHD in psychology so I will be in college for awhile. I want my mom to pay for my brothers so that they aren't in debt. I want to pay for as much as possible to take the worry off of her shoulders. She's had to go from co-parenting to being a single parent in an instant, while having to worry about how her kids are every night because they lost their father. I want to do everything in my power to take some of her burden off of her shoulders and helping pay for my own college is one of the many things that will do that.

Caitlin M  on 5/1/2020 9:06:05 PM

I applied. I think it would be helpful to contribute information about my school to anyone debating on what high school they want to go to, which was something I dealt with going into high school. If my survey helps one person, I would consider it a success. Now I will wait and see what happens! I will not go on about how much I need the money, it seems everyone in the comments is competing with whose life is the hardest. Clearly we all need money, so I will just leave it at that.

Phaith B  on 5/1/2020 5:23:01 PM

Being someone who decided to go against the grain and attend a charter school, I have to work extra hard, especially since I made this decision all on my own, with all my other family members simply just going to their local public schools, having to find my own transportation, from the school that is approx. 35mins away it is a challenge. I could had simply went to a regular public school that had a easier work and got a good gpa but I wanted to go to this school for the opportunities it offered. It allowed me to find my passion in agriculture, being a female African American it is a rare for us to go into that field . I had to get a job to pay for the uniforms, and ubers, which were about $22 dollars there and back because they are no local bus stops near by. Having to go to work straight from school, getting off at 12am, staying up doing homework till 3am and having to wake up at 6am.I have been working so hard and though my gpa is not the best because of the workload , I am still glad I attend my high school. I do not like to make excuses, I will not blame my situation on my financial standings being raised by a single parent with no help or take petty for trying the first person in my family to go to college. I applied for this scholarship because I have been working so hard and I truly am thankful for my high school.

Najla B  on 4/29/2020 12:41:25 AM

I really need this 1,000 because I am trying to go to college and I have a volleyball scholarship but its not a full one. If I am unable to pay the rest of the money I will not be able to go to this school and anything helps.

Jamar Robinson  on 4/29/2020 12:00:47 AM

I applied because this would help my family tremendously!

Taylor M  on 4/28/2020 7:24:35 PM

This scholarship would greatly help with the cost of tuition. I choose to attend college to take a leap in the direction of my future career. I choose to apply for this scholarship because I am expediting my graduation by a semester and I am a double major & have a minor. This scholarship will help with paying for my tuition and allow me to stay on track to graduate so I can go on to get my master's degree.

Malik P  on 4/28/2020 3:33:01 PM

I did apply for this scholarship. As an African American male, the statistics and odds for me completing college and earning a degree are already stacked against me. I work hard to make sure that I beat all the odds and set an example for all the younger black kids that are looking up to me to let them know that they can do it too. This scholarship would help me pay for my next year of college in order to keep fighting to reach my goal. It is a burden on my family and I to come out of pocket for a couple thousand dollars, so I am trying to earn scholarships in order to pay my way through school.

Gonzalo G.R  on 4/27/2020 8:46:35 PM

This scholarship would be a huge help as the scholarship will be almost one-third of my tuition per semester.

Carlos G  on 4/23/2020 1:33:41 AM

I am here and I applied, I’m taking a leap of faith Because there’s no guarantee that’ll win, though it’s not really winning its just gaining an opportunity to continue my life in a direction I want it to be, even if I don’t get it I’ll move forward from my past and this because this is a chance for me and you to change lives now or in the future

Jaydn Boone  on 4/21/2020 12:34:22 PM

Winning this scholarship can mean so much to my family. Knowing that this money can help me to start to reach my goal it is really inspiring. I currently need 19,619 dollars to attend my dream school and play tennis. I am a hard-working student and would never take advantage of the money I am granted. Not being able to take the SAT and Act again because of the Coronavirus hurt my chances of getting the money I needed. Winning the scholarship can continue to give my family hope during these difficult times.

Brandon P  on 4/19/2020 9:34:54 PM

I applied to this scholarship with high hopes and open arms. I am here inviting everyone to apply because to me, this scholarship is not about the money. Scholarships are about putting in effort and showing the maturity and drive it takes to succeed out there in the world. You may not win every scholarship you apply for, but you will also not strike every business deal you attempt to; however, it is always worth a shot.

Kayla C  on 4/19/2020 7:27:22 PM

I applied for scholarship in hopes to help pay for some of my schooling, which hopefully will be for nursing!

Adam T  on 4/19/2020 2:55:47 PM

I applied to this scholarship because I want to be able to limit my financial burden in college as much as I can. I am independent and I don't have the resources to attain money which is unfortunate in my circumstances. I wish you all good luck upon winning any scholarships!

Dan B  on 4/19/2020 2:11:23 AM

I applied because like most of my peers who have applied, I don't live a very bougie life. We're not exactly poor but sometimes we barely get by. I would like to win to build momentum as I follow this path to college not just for me but for my family for the future.

Alex H  on 4/18/2020 6:09:35 PM

I applied for this scholarship initially for the same reason many of the others applied—because all it seemed to be was a simple survey. Halfway through the survey, though, I began to really acknowledge what me filling out this survey meant. It’s more than a survey, it’s more than a questionnaire, and it’s certainly more than a chance to receive money. It’s an opportunity that could help lead me in the direction I aim to go in life. Opportunities like these, easy chances to win scholarship money, are so abundant however rarely people take advantage of them. By doing this survey, I am one of the people that DO take advantage of it, which is the same as me taking advantage of this opportunity to get an academic edge on the rest. Deciding to find and complete scholarships is a sign of being in control of your academic future, and I hope that doing this brings me nothing but rewards for wanting to advance myself.

Kayra A  on 4/13/2020 12:15:09 AM

I would be very grateful if I won this scholarship. Like millions of other people entering this contest, it would mean a lot for me if I won a $1000 scholarship and if I could lower our college expenses. Since elementary school I have always been working and studying to keep my grades up and fortunately, I was able to. I studied and pulled all nighters to pass my exams and ap tests. I really really worked hard. I spent hours working. And I want to become a biomedical science student. I want to become a heart surgeon and save many people suffering in this world. But I have a barrier stopping me from achieving my goal. Becoming a biomedical student is very expensive and requires a lot of costs (and I'm not the only child). I also don't want to depend on my family because we aren't that wealthy and I want to show them that their child has grown and can earn her own money and help them pay these expenses. Yes $1000 isn't that much, but even cutting down that much money from my expenses will actually help out a lot. And small scholarships like these can actually add up and I believe in it. And I believe I can win this. Hopefully this will be the very first scholarship I earn and it will be a very big step I take for cutting down my expenses.

Shellie V  on 4/7/2020 2:05:33 PM

I had to apply for this scholarship during quarantine. My parents want me to go to a good college but it is difficult because college be expensive.

Zaniya D  on 4/2/2020 11:21:43 AM

I would really love to have the opportunity in having this scholarship. This would be just a step further into my future for going to college. College for me is not an maybe it's a must. With the offer for this scholarship it would just mean a lot to know with this I could get a higher education.

Marvellous O  on 3/31/2020 7:51:10 PM

I applied to this scholarship because it gives me the chance to pursue my dream of getting an undergraduate degree. It would help me with my financial needs.

Annaliese C  on 3/31/2020 6:53:17 PM

I entered this scholarship because my preferred school is out of state and my parents can’t really afford it. I want to help them out as best as I can and reach the most of my capabilities. I also want to become a future doctor which will hurt me more financially when it comes to schooling. So whatever I can do to help my family, I’m there to do.

Raina  on 3/31/2020 1:25:15 PM

I would be very honor to be selected the winner of this scholarship. It would mean so much to me and my family.

 on 3/28/2020 12:57:40 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because all of my top universities that I am going to apply to are tens of thousands of dollars, most closer to $100,000 a year. With all of my studying and extracurriculars, I do not have time to get a job. If I do not get any help, I will still be paying off college and Med School when I am middle-aged.

Dora D  on 3/28/2020 4:38:44 AM

I applied for this scholarship to have the opportunity to be able to achieve my dreams. I have been an AVID student since as long as I can remember and have been determined to take the classes I need for a medical route to become a surgeon. Having this scholarship can help me relax and not worry about what I can and cant do.

Kennedy W  on 3/27/2020 2:09:07 PM

For starters or whoever is reading this, I'm not one worth to pity, and I won't make it out that way. I come from a decent, though annoying, family with a bit more money to toss than others. However, as time becomes more fleeting, the idea of my status gains its potency. That one Youtube channel won't hit it off, will it? You get what I mean. In short, the reasoning for my submission is to merely to conceive my life plans so no financial additions can resist my passion. This way, regardless of bigotry and misogyny, I can become the person I WILL be, if only a bit faster. College is only a few years away, and when it hits, I want to be on full defense! That's all, and thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

Makayla  on 3/27/2020 12:36:35 PM

As a small child, we are always asked " What do you want to be when you grow up" and as a small child we respond with "a doctor, firefighter, vet, pilot, etc. We are told that we can be anything we want to be and that the world is filled with limitless possibilities. But what we are not told is that in order to make our dreams come true, we have to pay large funds to attend schools regardless if you can afford it or not because there are always student loans right? But the downside to that is, that those loans that we take out negatively impact our future whether we make out dreams come true or not. By winning this scholarship that little girl who answered " I want to be a doctor'" will be able to take another step into the " debt-free" direction and pursue her dreams and attend college. She will surpass her expectations and become not only a doctor but a debt-free one.

Madalynn S.  on 3/25/2020 1:36:11 PM

For me, this scholarship would mean a lot. Being a white female with mediocre grades really hurts me on the side of scholarships. For the past four, and honestly 12, years I have worked so hard to make sure that my grades were up so that I was able to get into a good college but now it feels like it doesn't even matter. My family isn't the type of people who get everything they want, we have to work for it. I hope to make my family proud by coming up with my hard background to making a name for myself. I know from reading other people's comments on here that so many of us are going through hardships, some definitely worse than mine. I just hope this money can go to someone who is dedicated and will use it for a good purpose.

Melanie S  on 3/24/2020 8:05:38 PM

I applied for this scholarship because i would adore the opportunity to achieve my dreams of not only becoming a nurse practitioner but to be a professional health provider for the community.

I applied for this scholarship to spring forward my future and chip down the cost of college

Sydney D.  on 3/21/2020 11:25:07 PM

One other difficulty for my family, which I hadn't mentioned before, is that my parents are divorced, and my father is not able to contribute at all to my education. Only my mother will be involved in that regard.

Sydney D.  on 3/21/2020 11:22:56 PM

I have been a dilligent student throughout high school; however, one of the schools that accepted me (which I would consider my dream school) has a one of the highest tuitions in the nation--surpassing the Ivies and most other US universities. Paying for this college's tuition will be difficult for my family, and I am incredibly grateful for any amount of money I can receive.

Camden K  on 3/21/2020 1:56:41 PM

I really need this scholarship to help out with my financial needs. You can only take out so many loans. I truly desire a higher education with as much help as I can get.

Bryce T  on 3/11/2020 12:58:42 PM

I'm not saying I do not need this money, but I will say that I'm going college not only to better my future, but to also give back to my parents. To let them know they did a great job raising me and to overall thank them for what they have done for me.

I really need this 1,000 dollars. I and my family have been struggling my mom is in nursing and barely can pay for it. It would mean the world to her if I could help pay for her books. I just want to make sure she gets to go to school with all of her stuff. She is a great mother but we really don't have the money for anything especially her books. I would love to get this opportunity to see my mom smile again.

Being b the first to go to college was important to me being in foster care and then some of my other relatives adopted me. I’ve been on my own trying to better myself for awhile that scholarship will give me the push I need to be successful in life and have a better future

Tishia A.  on 1/12/2020 7:45:23 AM

I am applying for this scholarship in hopes to finish my goals. I'm a mother, who works to provide for my 4 children, however, with one income it financially is hard to provide without struggle. I would like to alleviate some of the weights my college education may provide. I already have a part-time job, with the hospital I plan to proceed my future with, however any small scholarship added will do wonders to my situation and help with school financial stress. I am going to major in Nursing with a RN degree, since I do believe it is important to help as many lives as possible, not just my family, but also other families in need.

Mayci R  on 1/11/2020 9:03:05 PM

I applied for this scholarship because I need assistance in covering the expenses of my tuition and books. I'm a freshman in college and my sister is about to graduate high school and go to college as well. This scholarship would help me because I'm already taking out loans and I'm about to start working again this semester of college. It would also help my parents as well so they don't have to worry much about my expenses and can start helping my sister.

I'm applying for this scholarship becuase I'm a super senior at Minnesota State Universisty Moorhead pursuing my bachelor of science in Elementary Education. I'm not currently working and won't be graduating until next fall. I'm the first person in my immediate family to go to college and I'm not currently working as I started an internship last fall. There is nothing I want more than to be able to complete my degree. I am not able to cover the cost of this semesters tuition with the federal student aid that I have received. I don't have enough of my own money to pay for the rest of tuition since my internship was unpaid and I the last pay check I received was at the beginning of September.

I am very honored to have been able to spread my love for my school because I believe in college readiness. My high school has done wonders for me and my peers and am so fortunate to become a proud alum!!

I am applying for this scholarship as it will help further reach my goal. Grouped up in a household of 5 wasn’t bad till we had one income. While struggling to handle that, kids got into the picture. Living in a small, old-styled town, it only feels right to creat something big for myself. Using sports to my advantage, I am verbally committed to a great community college. Only problem is housing. No dorms are provided, which now leads to financial problems. Apartment? Rent? Essentials of living? A senior in high school, I sure can say Im a bit terrified. Any kind of help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I go to USC Upstate for Nursing, and I love it here. It's a small school with a ton of nice people. I'm currently in my first semester in nursing school, and I need all the help I can get!

I applied for this scholarship because my family has been struggling to pay tuition for me and my sister . We are both attending Pima community college and hoping to get a degree in social work. I hope I get the opportunity to finish my degree and help repay my parents. I hate to see my parents struggle so much too pursue are dreams were they can be using that money for themselves. It would be very helpful winning this scholarship and will help my parents out of debt.

I applied for this scholarship because I love the school that I go to right now Tarleton State University. It is a beautiful campus filled with nice people all trying to make their way in the world as well. It would be very helpful winning this scholarship I would be thrilled if I won!

Zalique Taylor  on 1/6/2020 8:40:41 AM

yes, I applied to this scholarship. It is so exciting and nerve wrecking to see if I actually have a chance of getting free money for college. I applied for this scholarship because I need more aid for college and I really want to further my education without being so much money in debt.

Agnes D  on 1/5/2020 4:31:08 PM

I am applying to this scholarship because at the moment I'm going to have to stop going to college because I can't afford it. I am receiving no help from family members, which makes it extremely difficult to pay for all alone. I really want to go back and continue my education, but my financial situation right now is not going to allow that to happen. Hopefully I can receive this scholarship and pay some of my tuition.

I am applying for this scholarship because I am beginning my journey. As a freshman in high school, I am just learning what steps to take. This scholarship( any the others, I am applying for) will give me hope and motivation to keep pushing to my goal of attending college in 3.5 years.

Kaitlyn Schoeb  on 1/3/2020 8:12:56 PM

Scholarships are the only way I could get an education at a University, every single one helps.

Sara O  on 12/30/2019 1:14:24 AM

I am applying for this scholarship in hopes I receive it. My mother is a single mother, who works to provide for my sister and me, however, she deals with issues related to mental health and depression. I would like to alleviate some of the weights my college education may provide. I already have a side job, with my selfemploye dbussiness where I sell artwork to save up for my college education, however any small scholarship added will do wonders to my situation. I am going to major in Environmental Science, since I do believe it is important to help as many lives as possible, not just my mothers, but the voiceless animals, and our own as humanity.

Beatrize G  on 12/26/2019 1:00:07 PM

I am participating in the chance of getting this scholarship because although my family does have the money to pay for part of my college, I do not want them doing any thing more than they already have. They should be able to spend that money on themselves. They have done so much for me. If I am going to be successful in life I can't depend on them. I work at a restaurant to try and help pay for my college but it is hard juggling school and a job and volunteering. I want to major in computer science so that I can help change the world in the future and make everyone's life easier.

I am applying for this scholarship to get a chance to help my family and I financially with college expenses. This scholarship will help me be able to attend college to get a degree in Biology so I can move on to Physical Therapy school. It will help fund a dream that I have had all my life. This scholarship helps me get closer to fulfilling that dream!

Ali S.  on 12/23/2019 12:39:11 PM

I am applying for this scholarship because I need to get aid for my tuition, and pay the rest of college expenses. I am looking forward to get aid for my college because it will be really hard for my parents to pay for my studies since they only get minimum pay.

 on 12/22/2019 2:11:36 PM

I applied to this scholarship because my parents are not able to afford for me to go to college. My father was in the military because our family was in so much college debt. He used his school grant to pay off his college debt meaning that my school will not be paid off. My mother is poor and I don't want her to pull loans from the bank so that she could fund my dream college (which is SCAD). I decided to take the initiative and find ways to pay for college. I found that if I apply and win many scholarships, I would be able to afford an education without becoming a burden to my parents. I am a sophomore in high school who has a goal to earn at least $400,000 or more in scholarships, and this sweepstake helps me take one extra step towards reaching my goal.

Najiyah W  on 12/19/2019 8:39:14 PM

I applied to this scholarship because I want to attend a 4-year University and I will need all the aid I can get. As a first-generation student, my parents know little about the college application process and are hesitant about taking out loans. I want to major in Wildlife Science and become a Wildlife Conservationist.

Iayana J  on 12/19/2019 10:57:51 AM

Aaron T  on 12/13/2019 6:13:19 PM

I have applied for this scholarship with the intent of pursuing a stress free learning experience at George Mason University. Money is always an issue, and I am searching far and wide for scholarships that will provide the foundation for my academical experience. Currently, I am interested in a degree in Forensic Science. I have the potential to ease the pain of families that lost loved ones to irresponsible criminals, but this can only come true with your help.

Cristian M  on 12/10/2019 11:57:37 AM

I am applying for this scholarship in order to help pay for college. I am going to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical in Daytona Beach to pursue a degree in Aerospace and Occupational Safety with hopes of becoming a safety manager for big airline company. Receiving this scholarship would be of great help to me in paying it as it has a very expensive price point on it. My family has no intention of helping me pay for college, so whatever help I can get would be of great appreciation!

Sarrah G  on 12/5/2019 1:35:48 PM

I am applying to this scholarship in order to help pay for my schooling while I attend Palo Alto College with the Veterinary Technology Program. I have decided that I would like to help my community and the beloved pets that we call family. Receiving this scholarship would be amazing and help my family and me since we are currently paying out of pocket.

I've applied for this scholarship to help the world find out what is really in our mysterious deep oceans. I'm a senior attending Newsome High School in Lithia, Florida. I plan on attending the school of my dreams in Conway, South Carolina. That's right this fall I will be attending Coastal Carolina University to pursue my dream of becoming a marine biologist. In order to make my dreams a reality i need as much help as i can get especially because it's an independent school and its also out of state.

Jasmine M  on 12/2/2019 10:28:52 AM

I applied for this scholarship so i can go into college to become a Real estate agent. I am currently a senior attending Palo Verde High school in Las Vegas this scholarship would mean a lot because my family is small and not really financially stable being that i live with a single mother so it's quite difficult to require all the money for college without being an only child.

Nicole W  on 12/2/2019 9:52:04 AM

I applied for this scholarship due to the fact that It Is necessary for me to obtain my college degree to become a special needs teacher. I am a junior attending Midlothian High School in Texas. This world needs more teachers and I am excited to work with children that I can help progress so that they can live more independent lives. I would like to attend the University of Texas at Arlington, it is my cheapest and the most successive option for college.

Karleigh Stroud-Wilkie  on 11/29/2019 2:35:20 PM

I applied because I plan on going to medical school which is quite expensive. With scholarships, I will be able to give my community a great Dr.

Shavonne H  on 11/27/2019 5:18:38 PM

The high school I attend is excellent and I am happy I got to grow up here. People should know about how dedicated our students and staff here really are.

Dailyn R  on 10/22/2019 5:09:40 PM

I want to be a first generation college student that makes a tremendous impact in the field of science, my inspiration is my grandmother that struggles with Alzheimer's, she is what drives me to study my hardest and to make my family proud of what i could accomplish in the future.

Carter P  on 10/18/2019 9:13:34 AM

I have tons of pride for my school and feel the need to give feedback. The teachers here need some recommendations.

Shaan M.  on 10/10/2019 7:41:01 PM

I love to provide feedback regarding the areas my school is thriving in and lacking in since it is important to show my appreciation for my school and the staff who work there.
