Amazon Offers $40K Future Engineer Scholarships

E-tail giant Amazon is now accepting applications to its Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program for students entering college in the fall of 2020. The scholarship program offers 100 current high school seniors from underserved and underrepresented communities across the country the opportunity to receive $40,000 scholarships to study computer science at a four-year college or university and a guaranteed paid internship offer at Amazon after the completion of their first year.

E-tail giant Amazon is now accepting applications to its Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program for students entering college in the fall of 2020. The scholarship program offers 100 current high school seniors from underserved and underrepresented communities across the country the opportunity to receive $40,000 scholarships to study computer science at a four-year college or university and a guaranteed paid internship offer at Amazon after the completion of their first year.

Winners of the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship receive a four-year, $10,000 per year scholarship at an accredited four-year college or university as well as a guaranteed and paid Amazon internship to gain work experience after their first year. In order to qualify, applicants must:

  • Be high school seniors who are currently enrolled in or who have completed an advanced placement computer science course or who have taken an advanced placement computer science test.
  • Be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year majoring in computer science, software engineering, and computer engineering or other computer-related field of study.
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Interested students can now apply for the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship here. The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship application deadline is January 17, 2020. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, community involvement, work experience, future goals, and financial need.
