Check out the full list to find scholarships due this month that are tailored to your location and unique personality.

September Scholarships for Anyone

Polonia Institute Historical Scholarship Competition: History buffs, this one is for you. The Polonia Institute is holding an essay competition. Individuals 18 and older can submit an original research essay covering select topics revolving around the lesser-known history of the events that followed the Yalta Conference of 1945. The deadline is September 17th, and there will be three $3,000 awards available.

Cameron Impact Scholarship: This full-ride scholarship is given to 10-15 exceptional high school students who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community service, extracurricular activities, and academics. The deadline is September 9th, and winners can choose which U.S. university they would like their award to go to.

Americans United Student Essay Contest: High school juniors and seniors can write about why religious freedom and the separation of religion and government is important to them and their communities. Essays must be 750-1,000 words and are due September 19th.

College Photographer of the Year: Any college student that has been enrolled for at least one semester is applicable to apply. Photography lovers can apply by September 22nd to win one of two $1,000 awards.

Parent Project Scholarship: If you’ve positively impacted an older adult’s living environment, either personally or professionally, Parent Projects wants to hear about it. Submit a 400-500 word essay about your experience by September 15th for a chance to win $500.

Gates Scholarship: The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Three hundred scholarships are awarded each year to exceptional student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential. Apply by September 15th.

L. Ron Hubbard Writers of The Future Contest: Polish your science fiction or fantasy writing today for a chance to win several prizes and to be critiqued by master writers in the field. L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest awards several prizes every three months, so if you miss the upcoming September 30th deadline, there will be another one soon.

September Scholarships to Study Abroad

Fund for Education Abroad Scholarships: Your study abroad dreams might be closer than you think. The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) partners want to extend this life-changing opportunity to minority and first-generation college students. Applicants must be enrolled as an undergraduate in a U.S. college or university. The study abroad program must be at least four weeks long. The deadline for this scholarship is September 15th.

Mitchell Scholarship: If the shores of Ireland are calling your name, the George J. Mitchell Scholarship Program will award you to study abroad for one year. Up to 12 postgrad students are chosen, and the deadline is September 25th.

Major-Specific Scholarships for September

Pepsi Stronger Together: High school seniors pursuing a future in the arts have the chance to win one of four $25,000. The deadline is September 21st.

Creative Biolabs Scholarship Program: Creative Biolabs wishes to support students with at least a 3.0 GPA and enrolled in a science-related field, such as Biology or Chemistry. The application is due September 30th, and students have a chance to win $1,000.

Daniel K. Shipp Scholarship: This $2,500 scholarship is for undergraduates enrolled in majors geared toward a Safety and Health career. Apply by September 23rd.

The Home Depot Foundation Path to Pro Scholarship: For high school seniors or graduates who plan on pursuing a degree in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or construction management, this award is for you. Apply by September 30th for a chance to win $2,000 toward your two-year school goals.
