Scholarship Description

For over 30 years, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) in partnership with CBC Spouses has awarded scholarships to talented and deserving students. Each year, more than 300 scholarships are granted to students who demonstrate leadership ability, exemplary community service, and academic excellence, supporting their pursuit of higher education across various disciplines.

Scholarship Details

  • Supports undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students
  • Open to current high school seniors and full-time college students
  • Focuses on majors leading to careers as primary health care professionals
  • Over 300 scholarships awarded annually

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
  • Enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in a field leading to a career in primary health care
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and community involvement
  • Open to qualified African-American or Black students
