The Pete D. Stevens Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of Pete D. Stevens, a sickle cell warrior and advocate for sickle cell disease and trait. This scholarship aims to support students who have shown resilience and perseverance in their lives while pursuing higher education. One or more students will receive a one-time award of $1,000 to help cover educational expenses.

- Recipient may need to provide student ID or financial aid contact details to facilitate disbursement
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a senior at Bradwell Institute or Liberty County High School in Hinesville, Georgia
- Accepted to a technical college, community college, or university
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Application Requirements
- Write a 500-word essay on one of the following topics:
- Personal Connection to Resilience: Share a personal story of resilience and how it shaped your goals
- Impact of the Scholarship: Explain how this scholarship would help you achieve your educational and career goals
- Provide a letter of acceptance or current enrollment from your institution
- Submit a current, sealed official transcript
- Submit two letters of recommendation from educators, mentors, or community leaders

- Deadline: March 24th at 11:59 PM EST
- Submit applications and supporting documents by email
