Scholarship Description

Eligibility for the PinkRose Breast Cancer Scholarship is limited to individuals who are legal residents of the United States, under the age of 25 who have lost a parent or legal guardian to breast cancer. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be pursuing post-secondary education or certificate training. In addition to completing the application, applicants must also include a death-certificate, the acceptance letter to the college and/or certificate program, and a written statement.

In your statement, you should address assigned topics. Please include your name and the name of your deceased parent in the right-hand corner of the pages of the statement. The topics are: 1) Autobiographical information describing the significant impact of breast cancer in your life. Also describe how your academic motivation and interests, professional and volunteer experience, and career objectives were altered. Include a summary of your principal interests and activities. Please highlight community and service-oriented activities. 2) A detailed statement of intent articulating your interest in the PinkRose Scholarship. Please explain how obtaining a post-secondary degree or certificate will benefit your future by helping fulfill your goals and dreams.
