Presidential Scholars are selected from incoming freshmen with demonstrated outstanding academic performance. A UTA Presidential Scholar will receive a $10,000 award annually; up to $40,000 over four years of eligibility.

Eligibility Criteria
- Incoming freshman with outstanding academic performance
- Top 15% high school rank
- Minimum unweighted high school GPA of 3.9 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Minimum SAT score of 1400 or ACT score of 31
- Holistic review considers high school rank, GPA, test scores, and course difficulty
Application Process
- Apply for admission to UTA and submit all required documents
- Submit SAT or ACT scores as part of the scholarship consideration process
Every incoming freshman will receive a holistic review by the Scholarship Committee of their academic record for scholarship consideration. A variety of factors are considered using a combination of academic qualifications such as high school rank, GPA, test scores and difficulty of high school courses.
