Scholarship Description

Every year, Tacuna Systems is pleased to offer a scholarship opportunity for women pursuing a career in the STEM field. This program is designed to help encourage diversity in the engineering community, since women are still very much underrepresented in the engineering field today. Our goal is to grant a scholarship award to two female students who are currently pursuing a higher education in science, technology, engineering or math. One scholarship will be awarded to a student at a US institution and one will be awarded to a student at a Canadian institution.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be: a female undergraduate or graduate student, who is at least 17; be pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering or math; and plan on attending a US or Canadian institution (there is no GPA requirement). As part of your application submission, you must create a brief video of yourself showcasing a STEM-related project that you have worked on or are currently working on. Keep in mind that the video should be no longer than 2 minutes. You must also include a current resume (include academic institution name and your anticipated graduation date) and the url to the video submission.
