Scholarship Description

To be eligible for the SAE/Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies Scholarship, applicants must: be a resident of the United States; be an incoming freshman; have at least a minimum unweighted grade point average of a 3.0; be pursuing an engineering or related science degree through a U.S. ABET accredited program; provide two recommendation letters- one that focuses on academics and one that speaks to their involvement in extra-curricular activities or employment; and be a current/recent student participant in the Ford NGL Network and/or a Powered by Ford STEAM Academy.

Established in 2007, the SAE/Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies Scholarship was developed by the Ford Motor Company Fund and is for high school students participating in the Ford NGL Communities and Powered by Ford STEM Academies. Ford Next Generation Learning mobilizes educators, employers, and community leaders to prepare a new generation of young people who will graduate from high school ready for college, career, and life- prepared to compete successfully in the 21st-century economy.
