Scholarship Description

The Kobrin Family Scholarship was established in 1990 to be awarded to a qualified student from the Jewish communities of Orange, Osceola or Seminole County who will be attending the University of Central Florida. The scholarship is available to a qualified, full-time, graduating high school student for a maximum of four years. The student must maintain a 3.1 GPA (based on a 4.0 scale) each year in order to remain qualified for the scholarship.

Scholarship Details

  • Established in 1990 for students from Orange, Osceola, or Seminole County attending the University of Central Florida
  • $2,500 per year for a maximum of four years
  • Student must maintain a 3.1 GPA each year

Eligibility Criteria

  • Accepted to and planning to attend UCF as a full-time student
  • Demonstrate financial need as indicated by the Student Aid Report on the FAFSA
  • Graduated from any high school in Orange, Osceola, or Seminole County in Florida
  • Minimum GPA of 3.1 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Minimum SAT score of 1210 (Reading + Math) or ACT composite score of 25
  • Demonstrate Jewish and other community involvement during high school

Application Process

  1. Ensure acceptance to and plan to attend UCF as a full-time student
  2. Submit the Student Aid Report on the FAFSA to demonstrate financial need
  3. Graduate from any high school in Orange, Osceola, or Seminole County in Florida
  4. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.1 and achieve a minimum SAT score of 1210 or ACT composite score of 25
  5. Show evidence of Jewish and other community involvement during high school
