Scholarship Description

Columbus Citizens Foundation, based in New York City, is dedicated to the celebration of Italian culture and Italian American heritage. Since 1984, CCF has provided scholarships to deserving Italian American students to assure their academic dreams are fulfilled. Each year, the foundation offers a range of competitive scholarships. Please note that most CCF Scholarships are for four years and require the applicant to be an incoming high school freshman, college freshman, or an incoming first-year medical student.

The Columbus Citizens Foundation’s College Scholarship Program offers a four-year scholarship that helps underwrite the cost of their college tuition. Applicants must be of Italian descent (at least 25% Italian), have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and be from households where there is demonstrated financial need. Only seniors in high school who will enter college as freshmen in fall of the year the scholarship is awarded are eligible. Students must be citizens of the United States or residents of same status. Applicants must maintain an overall GPA of 3.5. The amounts vary per award; however, the most common scholarship awards we give out are $5,000 or $6,250 a year.
