Cape Canaveral Chapter Of Military Officers Association Of America

Each year beginning in 1984, The Cape Canaveral Chapter of The Military Officers Association of America has awarded Scholarship grants to descendants and wards of active duty or retired members of the Uniformed Services of the United States (includes Regular, National Guard or Reserve enlisted and officers of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, NOAA or USPHS).

Applicants must:

1. Be a descendant or ward of: a. An active duty or retired member of the Uniformed Services of the U. S. (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, NOAA, or USPHS), either Regular, National Guard or Reserve, or b. A deceased member of the Uniformed Services of the U. S., either Regular, National Guard or Reserve who died while on active duty or in retired status.

2. Be a legal resident of Brevard County, Florida, unless the applicant is a descendant of a current member (or was if deceased) of the Cape Canaveral Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America.

3. Have been accepted as a junior or senior by an accredited college or university as a full time student in a program leading to a baccalaureate degree. Students entering full time graduate studies may apply, but a scholarship will only be awarded if there is an insufficient number of qualified undergraduate students to meet the number of scholarships authorized.

The Scholarship Selection Committee accepts applications starting on 1 January of each year. The deadline for submission of applications is 15 June. Late applications will not be accepted!
