One of The Renal Medullary Carcinoma Research Foundation's founding ideologies is the focus on promoting and helping the future leaders of medicine in their quest to change the world. In the United States and around the world, African American and minority peoples represent fewer than 5.0% of practicing physicians. The Fund The Future Youth Scholarship was created to not only help bridge this gap, by helping minority students attend college, but to also help minority students grow their projects that work to promote racial equality in healthcare and medicine worldwide.
The Fund The Future Youth Scholarship is an educational scholarship intended for African American and minority students who are currently applying to higher education at a college and or university (applicants must either be current high school seniors or undergraduates). Furthermore, the scholarship is intended for students who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine and or medical research as well as students who are currently working on projects that help promote racial equality in healthcare. Although this scholarship is intended for African American and minority students we encourage all students who are focused on increasing equity in healthcare to apply!
