Oregon’s single largest private scholarship provider is The Ford Family Foundation. Offering unique, renewable scholarships for Oregon and Siskiyou County, California residents, the Foundation selects over 250 new recipients for their need-based programs and awards over $11 million annually to support students’ success in college and beyond. Selection criteria is centered on applicants’ ability to characterize their potential, resilience, initiative, and service to others. Dollar amounts will vary.
The Ford Scholars Program offers a comprehensive scholarship to help students succeed in college and beyond. In addition to a generous financial award, Scholars receive academic guidance, leadership development, personal and professional support, and access to the Ford Family alumni network. Up to 130 renewable scholarships are awarded each year to students from Oregon and Siskiyou County, CA. Applicants must meet all residency requirements for college of attendance. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or high school graduate (or the equivalent) and has never enrolled full time in a 2- or 4- year college and must have a goal of earning a bachelor’s degree (and has not previously earned a bachelor’s degree). Dollar amounts will vary. Applications run from December until the deadline.
