MCWT provides scholarships to women/non-binary students who have the interest, aptitude and potential for a successful career in computer science. Our scholarship program encourages talented female students to continue their higher education and ultimately help Michigan become the No. 1 state for girls and women in technology. Since 2006, we’ve provided 204 women with scholarships totaling more than $1.3 million. Applicants must be current Michigan residents, U.S. citizens, female, enrolled or attending a Michigan university with a minimum 2.75 GPA.
Each applicant must be enrolled during the grant period in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program in a major such as information systems, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, computer information systems, digital forensics and software engineering. Annual awards up to $5,000, with a possibility of renewal, awarded to high school seniors through college juniors. This program encourages talented female students to continue their higher education and ultimately helps us in our vision to make Michigan the number-1 state for girls and women in technology.
