Since it was founded in 1890, the General Federation of Women's Clubs has been a unifying force, bringing together local women's clubs from around the country and throughout the world. Although there is considerable diversity in the ages, interests, and experiences of GFWC clubwomen, all are united by a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service. Throughout their generosity, GFWC Massachusetts offers numerous scholarships.
The GFWC Massachusetts Memorial Education Scholarship for Graduate Studies is for women maintaining a legal residence in Massachusetts for a minimum of five years who plan to attend graduate school for mental health degrees in the field of counseling. Applicants must submit a personal statement (500 words) addressing professional goals and financial needs. Applicants must also provide reference letter from a college department chair or recent employer and have a personal interview (if selected as a finalist). The total number of awards will vary.
