Since its inception over 30 years ago, the eQuality Scholarship Collaborative has been dedicated to fostering student leadership, awarding scholarships to outstanding California students who have served the LGBTQ+ community. By 2024, eQuality’s total scholarship awards surpassed $2.1 million, continuing its mission to support the next generation of leaders.
Scholarship Details
- Awards recognize and encourage California students who have contributed to the LGBTQ+ community through service.
- Scholarships are applicable for post-secondary education at accredited institutions, including colleges, universities, and trade schools.
- Scholarships may be specifically designated for college/university or medical/graduate school students.
- Last year, eQuality awarded scholarships to eight high school seniors, four Oakland Unified School District graduates, two community college transfers, and three medical students. A similar number of awards is anticipated for this year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Residents of northern or central California who completed or expect to complete high school or equivalent by June 30th.
- Residents of northern or central California who completed or expect to complete community college by June 30th.
- Students pursuing a medical degree at an accredited medical/graduate school in northern or central California.
