Scholarship Description

Our STEMinist Scholarship Program provides financial support to students pursuing college degrees in engineering and/or computer science. Calculated Genius is proud to support and encourage Chicago's brightest young students to pursue degrees across countless engineering fields, by recognizing their hard work & dedication to their chosen field with financial awards.

Scholarship Details

  • Supports students pursuing degrees in engineering and computer science
  • Designed to encourage young women pursuing STEM careers
  • More than 120 scholars have been supported since 2020, with more than $300,000 has been awarded through the program
  • Provides access to mentorship and professional networking opportunities

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must pursue a college degree in engineering or computer science
  • Must demonstrate academic achievement and dedication to a STEM field
  • Program primarily supports young women pursuing STEM education
  • Must meet any additional eligibility requirements established by Calculated Genius
  • Future applicants must apply during an active application cycle when applications reopen

Application Process

  1. Complete the scholarship application during the designated application period
  2. Provide academic and educational information related to engineering or computer science studies
  3. Submit any required supporting materials demonstrating academic achievement and commitment to STEM
  4. Participate in any additional review or selection process required by the program
  5. Monitor communications regarding scholarship decisions and mentorship opportunities
