The PFund Foundation Scholarship provides financial support to LGBTQ+ students from the Upper Midwest at all stages of their education. In 2024, PFund awarded a record $150,000 to more than 60 queer students. This scholarship is designed to assist students pursuing a GED, community college, four-year college, university, graduate school, trade school, professional certificate program, or apprenticeship program.
Scholarship Details
- Open to LGBTQ+ students in the Upper Midwest
- Supports students at various levels of education, including GED programs, trade schools, and universities
- Scholarship funds are distributed directly to recipients
- Recipients must submit an IRS Form W9 with a Social Security Number or Tax ID
Eligibility Criteria
- Must identify as LGBTQ+
- Must be at least 17 years old by June 1st
- Must be from or currently attending school in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Native Nations within these states
- Must be enrolled in or admitted to an eligible educational program for the coming academic year
Application Process
- Complete the online scholarship application during the application window
- Submit proof of enrollment or admission to an eligible educational program
- Provide an IRS Form W9 if receiving a scholarship payment directly
- Optional: Utilize PFund’s online mini-course for assistance in writing scholarship essays
- 2025 application period: January 21 – March 3rd at 4:59 PM CST
