Scholarship Description

The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation is a philanthropic leader that helps donors, nonprofits, and other collaborative partners strengthen our community so all of the people and places we serve have the opportunity to thrive. TGKVF helps students follow their educational dreams and prepare for their future careers. TGKVF administers over 500 funds and more than 100 of those are designated for statewide scholarships. We know being a student presents many challenges. With this in mind, our generous donors have created hundreds of scholarship opportunities for you.

In order to qualify for The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation Scholarships (with the exception of the "Kid's Chance Scholarship") you must be a West Virginia resident. In order to apply, you must be a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours), submit a required essay, and be pursuing an undergraduate degree (exceptions are the following: Willard H. Erwin, Jr. (WVHFMA), Leopold & Elizabeth Marmet, R. Ray Singleton, Shepherd Family, Eleanora G. Wylie. These offer scholarships for graduate school). Dollar amounts will vary.
