TRSRM Foundation currently awards scholarships annually for $2,000/each to extraordinary Hispanic/Latinx high school seniors. Students must attend a four-year accredited college or university within the United States. Financial need is a factor that we consider in awarding scholarships. If you think that you will be eligible for financial aid at the colleges to which you are applying, you should apply for TRSRM scholarship.
You must be a NY/NJ/CT resident and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Otherwise, you must have a valid Arrival-Departure Record (I-94) from the Department of Homeland Security showing any one of the following designations: Refugee, Asylum Granted, Indefinite Parole, Humanitarian Parole, or Cuban-Haitian Entrant in order to apply. We ask for three letters of recommendation. Two of these should be written by your high school counselor, teacher, or principal. The third letter may be submitted by someone who knows you well and can attest to your character, leadership ability, commitment to community service, and/or academic achievement. We will post the names of the scholarship winners on our website in June.
